1.0 out of 5 stars MADE BY ROGER WATERS, FOR ROGER WATERS..., Nov. 26 2015
Okay. When "The Wall" was initially released back in 1979, it was (and still is) a monumental work. And then there was the ground-breaking live performances that followed, which revealed the soap-opera that was Pink Floyd cracking open and blowing apart. And there was the theatrical movie of the The Wall, which was both a stirring and unbelievably depressing film experience. Following that, when the Berlin Wall fell, there was an all-star live production of The Wall that had a world-wide TV viewing audience of nearly 100 million. Then, there was Waters' remounting of The Wall , for the first time, as a major touring production. Now, there's the second movie version of The Wall. Okay, Roger. Stop. Stop, right now. It's over. Finished. Don't do anything involving The Wall anymore. We know the story. Blah, blah, blah. You're still depressed. Blah, blah, blah.

5.0 out of 5 stars DOWN THE TUBES?, Dec 26 2014
This review is from: Caress of Steel (Audio CD)
Much has been said about how this album nearly ruined Rush's career. I say that this album represents an amazing and daring leap into prog-rock. Sure, Rush is channeling Yes and Genesis. But also King Crimson and Black Sabbath as well. It's a challenging and satisfying work. Awesome.

3.0 out of 5 stars Well...maybe..., Nov. 8 2014
This review is from: R40 [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I'll consider getting this one, but only in Blu-Ray. The addition of the performance footage from the 1976 and 1997 shows are welcome additions, but it maybe that Rush's vault is getting thin in terms of material than has not already been released officially or as bootlegs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Tool, Nov. 8 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Everything you need is right in this kit. In terms of its ruggedness, I'm not sure how this compares to Campy's own tool, so use carefully. Other than that, it worked great. I used it in two instances and everything when well.

4.0 out of 5 stars For really really tough hair, Nov. 8 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Rather heavy and thick pomade. Great for difficult hair. Still learning how to use it. Recommend following the application instructions, such as heating the product for ease of application. I use a hot air drier.

5.0 out of 5 stars HEAVY METAL DEFINED, Oct. 30 2012
This review is from: Black Sabbath (Audio CD)
With The Cream, The Who, and Led Zeppelin cashing on their re workings of American R&B, Black Sabbath came out of nowhere (Birmingham, actually) and offered the world something different. Slick production and self-indulgent musicianship gave way to thick, dark, and powerful riffs. This is music to play in a haunted house and it's brilliant fun. Geezer Butler's deathly throbbing bass, Tony Iommi's creepy, distorted guitar, and Ozzy's urgent and tortured vocal stylings bring this masterwork together.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE LAST AC/DC ALBUM I OWN, Oct. 30 2012
Back in Black not withstanding, this is an outstanding work and, regrettably, the final appearance by Bon Scott. One cannot say enough that can describe how good this album is. While Mutt Lang's production values are slick, they don't hide the amazing rawness of early AC/DC's sound and the strength of their musicianship and showmanship. I don't think that AC/DC every rocked this hard ever again.

2.0 out of 5 stars ANOTHER RUSH LIVE ALBUM...HOO-HUMM, April 29 2012
If you're going to get Rush's document of the 'Time Machine Tour' you will be better served by getting the DVD release. As for Rush on vinyl, it's a great idea. A fantastic idea, in fact. But instead of releasing a live album from the last tour, how about re-releases of 'All the World is a Stage' and 'Exit...Stage Left'? On 180gram vinyl? And the original master, produced by Terry Brown? Now, that would be sweet. And maybe a few select editions of their studio albums, like 'Moving Pictures, 'Caress of Steel', or 'A Farewell to Kings'? Better yet, how about the release, finally, of that live album that Rush never released, because they decided to release 'Moving Pictures' instead. Everyone knows that album, the one that was recorded in 1980 at the Palladium in NYC? Now, that's a worthwhile live document.

4.0 out of 5 stars AT LEAST IT'S OUT, April 29 2012
The long awaited Pink Floyd performance from their 'Division Bell' tour is here, and it's...okay. Division Bell was not exactly a strong release for this band, but the world tour in support of its release was a landmark event. Compared to the previous DVD release, 'Delicate Sound of Thunder', with the exception of 'Dark Side of the Moon' in its entirety, it's almost exactly the same show. All the amazing stage effects are there, from the massive pyro displays, to the stunning projections, to the hundreds of lasers in the face, are there. But the performance is kind of cold and calculated. It is as though the show was a massive light show, featuring a band. I'm not sure if one needs to be on drugs to enjoy the show, but it probably would help.
