4.0 out of 5 stars Don't expect the book..., Dec 11 2009
People who are complaining that this isn't the book, should stop and never watch this again. Sure, it's loosely based on the book series, but that's ok. Think of this as an alternate storyline. You also cannot complain since Terry Goodkind himself is in an executive producer position and has signed off on this series. The actors, while being very corny and cheesy early on, begin settling into their roles and by mid-season, it starts to become very entertaining. The second season has just started, and is without a doubt, one of the better shows on television. Give it a chance, you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not your daddy's Star Trek, Nov 18 2009
This is most certainly not your daddy's Star Trek. It's a fun and very visual film, filled with action, adventure, and comedy. It's what you'd expect out of a re-boot of the Star Trek franchise. The haters are just those who are stuck in the past. Star Trek needed to evolve into something more, and J.J. Abrams made this film something everyone, not just the nerdy Trekky, could enjoy. 5 Stars for Star Trek!

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Final Fantasy (Video Game)
Don't listen to previous reviews. Yes, this is the original Final Fantasy, now available for the PSP. It's classic RPG gaming at it's finest. Added with a little bit better graphics, the game looks and plays fantastic on the PSP. Take Final Fantasy wherever you go. Definitely a must for fans of the series and for people who want to be reminded of the greatness that this franchise has to offer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eerie, Nov 9 2009
This review is from: When They Cry: Complete Set (DVD)
Higurashi: When They Cry, is an eerie horror anime, filled with thrills and creepy school girls. It's a mind game that sets itself upon a viewer, and keeps them stuck in their little world until the very end.

Set in the 1980's in a small town in Japan, the characters live out their lives according to a strange curse that befalls people every year on the same date. I won't go too into detail, but the end result is usually in murder and very creepy occurrences. I can remember this series giving me nightmares while watching.

Pick it up, you won't be disappointed.

Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: NHL 2K10 (Video Game)
Stay away from this game at all costs. A PS2 game that has graphics that look like a crappy SNES game. In fact, I've seen SNES games that looked better. Players look square. Game doesn't move smooth enough. As far as NHL sims go, this one is the worst one I have EVER played. Stick with NHL 10 by EA. Don't bother with 2K Sports. Ever.

Atmospheric...beautiful...haunting... These are some of the words used to describe this album. The players know how to play, and they do it very well. The vocals will haunt you to no end. I literally felt like I was in a forest during the winter time, staring through the dead trees and watching the snow fall slowly to the ground. A great band that everyone should most definitely give a listen to. I highly recommend this album to fans of doom, goth, and death metal. You'll find some elements of everything in there. One of my favorite albums this year.

1.0 out of 5 stars Gave It A Chance..., April 6 2009
So, I admit, I didn't read the novels, nor did I go into this knowing what to expect. What I found, was pure trash. It took me (I timed it) 5 hours to watch a 2 hour film. It's just that bad.

The acting was lackluster. At times, you couldn't even tell the actors knew they were supposed to be acting. The script was boring and completely rushed. The film had NO FLOW whatsoever. It seemed as if they just kept jumping from scene to scene without any real reasons. The special effects were definitely lacking as well. I mean, the dude's supposed to sparkle right? Like a crystal or something? It looked like a lens flare effect thrown onto a static effect from Photoshop or something...

The vampires themselves (SPOILER ALERT) don't even have fangs. And no one questions the fact that Edward's "parents" look just as old as he does. Let's not forget the creepiness factor either. 107 year old Vampire boy (who's a virgin...ok that's just weird...) is in love with a 17 year old girl. Pedophilia anyone?

The main villain for the plot shows up, and hope begins to rear it's head. But instead of a battle that should've ended the movie properly, he gets taken out in seconds. I think the villain had a total of 20 minutes of screen time. It was a waste of a good villain! If you want to see more of Cam Gigandet's villainy, look up the movies Never Back Down, or season 3 of The O.C. He's a pretty decent bad guy.

Anyways, most movies are supposed to have a flow, and this one just bored me to death from beginning to boring end. There wasn't any flow. Just a flat line.

I don't recommend anyone see this movie if they're paying. If you can get it for free, watch it once, never touch it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME, Feb 25 2009
This review is from: Wrath (Advisory) (Audio CD)
This is, by far, Lamb of God's greatest release since Ashes of the Wake. They really know how to throw down. A previous reviewer called this their St. Anger. There is seldom an album that is as bad as that trash. "Wrath" is one raw, vicious and relentless mother effer; the proverbial snarling beast that has finally broken from its cage and is out for blood. The guitars are furious, the riffs are catchy, and the vocals are damn aggressive. This is THE album for metalheads this year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, Jan 30 2009
There's not much more I can say except for what I wrote above. The album itself is one large concept album based on the life and times of Gilles Des Rais, one of mankind's most notorious serial killers. Each song speaks of certain times and actions of the man's life.

The album itself is classic COF. It's got killer riffs, Dani Filth's goth/black metal inspired vocals that just spew at the listener like poison, and intense speed. A few songs are, dare I say it, catchy.

While this isn't a return to form to the band's early days, it's still very very good, and you'll definitely enjoy it if you're a metal fan of all sub genres of metal. Definitely recommended.

Ok, so I received an advanced copy of this album. It is, without a doubt, something I was very curious about. The long awaited album from Guns N Roses. It might not be exactly what people are looking for, and in a way people might say "Is that it?". For years, this project has been kicked around, dissed, and made fun of. But it's a solid record from beginning to end. Axl's voice has definitely not lost any of it's power. The guitar solos are definitely rocking.

Most definitely worth the purchase. Especially at the price offered. Get it now!
