...there is no enjoying this book - but it certainly is in the "must-read" category!

...just curl up with this wonderful author and enjoy the ride ... never will you have another reading adventure such as this ... I envy you for not having read it yet ...

..wanted to like this book..gave it a chance - nearly made it to the end, skimmed the last 50 pages - waste of valuable reading time ..

Hesitated to read another book by Eggers, however, no disappointment here. Beautifully written, hard to put down, Deng's true-life story of his life in the Sudan and relocation to North America is a must read.
