Great cast, dissapointing movie, May 16 2013
You can't argue with the cast, who are all fine and entertaining. The main problem with this film is that the actors are given very little to do (that is interesting, anyway). The whole film leads up to an exciting action climax, which was good I suppose, but by the point that it comes you're so disinterested in the characters that it falls flat. I'm a big fan or Roger Moore, but his character's scenes (a supposed love story) brought the pace of the move down to a crawl and shouldn't have been included. Not so bad it's good. Just boring. The most exciting thing about this movie was its title.

Moore, Moore, Moore! Well, just two actually., May 16 2013
The Man Who Haunted Himself gives Roger Moore the opportunity to act outside of his usual comfort zone in a strange little film about madness and passion. There are also some very creatively filmed scenes that make me go "wow" out loud. It's not for everyone, and the pacing is a little slow at times but for Roger Moore fans and for lovers of off-beat cinema, it's a must-see.

You can smell the hot dogs, May 16 2013
I love this book. I have a great love of baseball and ball parks, and have been on several baseball road trips. This book captures the spirit of excitement of attending a baseball game. The authors pour plenty of info about each park onto the pages along with funny and pointed personal anecdotes about their dream tour. It's like being right there with them. I can't put this book down.

Proto (Moore) James Bond, May 16 2013
Watching Crossplot, one is struck by the many elements it shares with Roger Moore's later Bond films. Some of the plot seems stretched to the limits, but that is part of it's charm. A tounge-in-cheek good time, and a must for Moore fans.

Lots of fun, Mar 12 2012
The Last Starfighter is one of those films that I could watch over and over. It's a great adventure story for kids and adults. Its many space battle scenes were created using early 80's CGI and don't look as "real" as some more modern space films, but they were clearly made with a pioneer's enthusiasm, which shows. Personally, I always enjoyed the scenes "back home" at the trailer park with all the crazy characters and humble charm. This Blu-ray version looks and sounds great.

Cinematic playbook, Mar 12 2012
Having enjoyed Volume 1 like crazy, I instantly purchased Volume 2. Even if you don't carry it around on set with you like a cinematic playbook, it's still very useful to get the brain juices flowing when planning your shots or even in the writing phase. It uses concrete examples from actual films to explain how different shots can be achieved and even more importantly, why you would use a certain shot. Do yourself a favour and get this book (And Volume 1).
