I've read all of Karl's books, and this one was a neat little gem. While his travel diaries and Happy-slapped were funnier and easier reads, Karlology definitely had some amusing moments, and any little nuggets we can get from his strange way of thinking are welcomed.

In the Idiot Abroad travel diary he says that he is writing a book and has to get a certain word count. I have a feeling he's talking about Karlology because sometimes he goes off on weird tangents. That is probably my only complaint, because at times it does feel like he's writing this book out of duty rather than out of desire, but it's a point that can be overlooked because it is still an enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, Feb. 11 2012

It's amazing how brilliant this show about an "idiot" is. I think it's because of his unique (and often depressing) outlook on life that keeps it (and him) consistantly interesting because you never know quite what is going to come out of his mouth. At points his thoughts might seem offensive, but it's pretty clear that he is more naive than anything and speaks his mind without fear of concequence, which is another thing that makes it so interesting.

Adding to the humour of Karl's character is the fact that producers Steve and Ricky constantly put him into situations that sill challenge, annoy, and sometimes endanger him. They also like to make him as uncomfortable as possible, whether that means making him sleep at a dingy hostel or hanging out with transexuals.

All I can say is, if you're reading this wondering whether to buy it, the answer must be yours... and the answer must be YES!

3.0 out of 5 stars Just more fill of Pilkington, Feb. 11 2012

This book is essentially just a transcript from some of the funnier moments from the Ricky Gervais show podcasts. Since I was mostly familiar with these conversations from the animated show it was nice to see some of the conversations filled in a little more. There are also a few funny extras including some weird stories from Karl and some excerpts from his diary.

Overall it was a fun read, not a lot of original material, but was still nice to fill my ongoing quest for more from Karl Pilkington.

This is a text book that can be used to help design a strength and conditioning program for various sports. It includes some good suggestions on supplements as well as various methods of speeding up recovery. One of the things I really like is some of the paradigms it lays out for varying load.
