Good Place to start, Feb 20 2012
If you are new to WordPress, this book is a good start to the process. It walks you through the various steps needed to create a blog. Should you want to do more, it certainly provides the information needed to expand the process. I have referred back to it a number of times as I work to master the process of a blog. I have watched a number of videos on WordPress. They are helpful too but being able to refer to something as I work has been very useful.

Good Resource for the G11, Jan 7 2012
I find most of the manuals that come standard with digital cameras to be lacking. Details can be omitted and the organization of the manual is not always terrific. This book helps you understand how the camera works. It also provides you with some examples of how the camera can be used in different situations. Canon now has a G12, however some of the information found here would be useful for that camera a well since it is a field guide to the G11 and not just a dedicated manual for the camera.

A Useful Resource, Jan 7 2012
I have read a number of books by Bryan Peterson. They have added much to my understanding of what makes a better picture. This book adds to this understanding. Bryan writes in a clear, easy to comprehend style. The book certainly gives you considerable information on the role of the shutter speed as you work to improve your photographic skills. You learn much from any of Bryan's books. This is no exception.

Compact and Useful, Jan 7 2012
I have used this when in Europe and England. Before, I used to carry a kit that had all of the outlet styles you needed. I find this much better. It takes less space, has everything you need in one extra piece of equipment. The build quality appears to be solid, I have used this for over a year with no problems. So, if a travel plug adapter is something you will need, this one fills the bill quite nicely.

An excellent product, Dec 27 2011
If you are in the market for a tablet, Wacom is THE brand. Internet reviews sing the praise of this tablet. I purchased the medium sized tablet which is working very well for me. Learning how to live without a mouse and make use of the pen will take some additional time but even after a few hours with this tablet, getting the feel of the pen is becoming easier. This will really pay off with the finer details as you work on images or if you are working on illustrations of any kind. Wacom has a number of YouTube videos explaining in some detail how you can customize the tablet to your style and work flow. An excellent choice for anyone interested in a tablet.

A Great Help to learning the D5100, Nov 6 2011
I have a number of books by David, I purchased his for my D700 as well. He takes you through the camera in a straightforward and meaningful way. I find the books easy to read and find information I need quickly. They certainly add much to the manual that ships with the Nikon products I have purchased. He also gives you some insight into items you may find useful when using the camera. Often, they are not necessarily the name brands that can cost much more than a perfectly useful 'house brand'. This was an added bonus for me. I will continue to buy books by David D. Busch from Amazon, you can't beat the Amazon price and David has done an excellent job of making me more aware of all the things my cameras can do for me.

Well worth the Money..., July 18 2011
I have read a number of books David has done on cameras. This book contains a significant amount of detail on the D700 as well as some excellent suggestions. As an example, it lead me to Phottix, a company making shutter releases that are significantly cheaper than the Nikon variety but every bit as useful. He also pointed me to UPstrap, a US company that makes quality camera straps, something you really want for a camera as costly as the D700. There may be parts of the D700 that David does not cover but so far, he has been able to provide all the information I need for my camera. I am sure I will be returning to this book on the D700 time and again.

Worth Purchasing, July 18 2011
You can find a more detailed book on the D700 but this gets you started and also provides some suggestions as to how you will use this camera in the field. I found it to be a readable book with some good ideas.

Can Your Waisteline Afford this Book?, Jan 27 2011
If you enjoy the TV program this book is based upon, the book is worth the money. It certainly will provide me with some valuable information as I visit parts of the US where these places are located. Guy does a terrific job of showcasing the restaurants he visits around the country. This book just adds to his program. Buy the book but realize that visiting all the spots mentioned is going to have a huge impact on your belt size.

Worth Considering, Jan 27 2011
This book covers quite a bit of material. It has many screen shots that make the process of following along that much easier. What I like is the fact that it covers both CS5 and Lightroom in one book. While there may be books with additional details, this one gets you started and certainly provides some worthwhile content especially if you are new to the programs and appreciate the time taken by the author to explain how things work. It may well be that, after reading the book you want to invest in additional material to go into certain topics in greater depth. But as a start, this one has impressed me. I have had it for about 2 weeks, have not covered everything yet but have found it to be very informative so far. Worth the money.
