Buy it. Learn from it, April 18 2013
I bought this book many moons ago, and it fundamentally changed the way I looked at Software Engineering, and gave me a start down the path of project management. Years later, working on my Project Management Professional cert the lessons are still useful. I bought this book again for some up and coming software developer in my group who was a wizard coder, but sometimes had trouble balancing and prioritizing features/projects. Ever the skeptic on things that would slow him down and prevent him from coding, he still read it and had to admit that there was "some pretty useful stuff in there." Steve McConnell's Code Complete and Rapid Development are two other books I peg as must reads.

Played the original? Avoid this. Didn't play the original? Avoid this, April 18 2013
As train wrecks go this is by far the least entertaining, captivating, and engaging one I have come across in years. It should be used as reference material for game designers -- How not to make a game. Gearbox/2K demonstrated huge cajones releasing this gaming experience after the collapse of 3D Realms. I bought it based on fond childhood memories of Duke Nukem 3D. They got my money. Joke is on me.

Meh. Used it for a while, didn't like it., April 18 2013
It's a cheap case. Don't expect much for the money. Did it fit? Yup. Does it provide nominal drop protection? Probably. Does it feel good in the hand? No. Looks? Personal opinion of course. I found the photos to be better than the what the case looked like in real life.

Didn't like, ended up removing it after a few weeks of use, April 18 2013
Pretty unimpressed with this product. It doesn't prevent smudging, it attenuates the amount of light coming off the screen, and it seems to prevent the ambient light sensor from doing its job so when walking from a dark to well lit area the screens brightness doesn't reliably adjust.

Decent enough, not stellar, April 18 2013
If you are looking for a simple and easy to use case for your Nexus 7 then this may be it. The N7 is held snugly by the case, even when you are using it in kickstand mode. The edges are protected even when the case is open, and the case should add some significant drop damage protection. The cutout for the rear facing speaker is entirely adequate for letting the sound through. The downsides to the case are: 1. It doubles the volume of the N7. I find that I can no longer easily slip the N7 into a back pocket. 2. The front of the N7 will smudge when the case is used -- except where the "dimples" or "divots" for the kickstand are. You end up with noticeable banding on the screen of your N7 as a result.

Simple, easy to setup and install., April 18 2013
I purchased this unit to replace a previous keypad deadbolt that was installed on my house which had recently failed. Installation of this deadbolt was simple, and the kit included all the necessary hardware to fit a wide variety of doors and jambs. As long as you have a philips and a flat headed screwdriver available you should be able to perform the install in under 30 minutes yourself. I was expecting that the unit would have an integrated motor as my previous keypad deadbolt did, however in all honesty I prefer the mechanical mechanism with this deadbolt as you can apply as much torque as required to open/shut the lock -- the motorized deadbolt I had previously would take two or three efforts to unlock in the winter.

Good value for the money. Versatile workout solution, Mar 26 2013
Having used the TRX setup in the local gym for a few months we thought that picking up a set for ourselves. Being cheap, I balked at the price of a branded TRX set and thought I'd give the Rip:60 a go. Here are the main differences I've observed between a TRX kit and the Rip:60. Rip:60 includes the training DVDs (haven't watched them) and handy wall poster showing exercises, and of course the straps themselves. The kit includes a door mount and can also be used from a ceiling mount. The straps are adjustable in a similar way to the TRX, and I find the handles to be slightly less comfortable than the TRX setup. If you are thinking of traveling with your setup then I do suggest going with the TRX as their kit is roughly on third the weight of this one and will be slightly more compact. Overall good value for the money, and it has become a regular part of the home workouts.

Dense wine storage at it's simplest and best, Mar 26 2013
First impression: wow this thing is flimsy. Out of the box I thought it was going to fall apart. I was very wrong. Assembly was quick and easy, and once anchored to the wall (through the included mounting kit) the wine rack had zero issues taking 60 bottles of wine. Apparently these units are stackable too, so if you have lots of wine to store this is a great and affordable way to expand your storage. These aren't the prettiest shelves -- they are best deployed in the basement or away from too many eyes. These are built for density not show.

Great product, great feature set, good price, Mar 26 2013
We purchased the Instant Pot LUX60 just as a pressure cooker and it sure works well in that capacity. We can take frozen stewing beef and throw it in the pot along with some fresh vegetables and some broth and 30 minutes later have a perfectly cooked stew. Steaming veg, making soups, and pressure cooking meats has never been easier. The real added bonus for me has been the Rice and Congee settings -- they both turn out perfect product every time.
