I think Vanessa Mae plays really well, she has great technical abilities.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing!, March 14 2000
I was a little disappointed that this book is below Misty's standards. The plot is unimpressive, and the 'bad guy' is really just all too predictable and lack of character. However, the book can still be enjoyable especially if you have not read her other books which were much remarkable by comparison.

5.0 out of 5 stars A touching story., March 13 2000
This review is from: Sucking Sherbert Lem (Paperback)
The story follows the teenage Benson who have to suffer humiliation for being fat and to cope with his homosexuality. Despite a rather serious content, the story is told in a humorous manner, which makes this book every entertaining. I like the segment when Benson did a report on Hamlet, what he wrote seemed perfectly resonable in his viewpoint but totally ridiculous to the rest. The book covers Benson's journey of self-realization but the ending was very sad. (To find out why, please read the book!) This is trult a remarkable book which is very touching yet I laughed when I read through the pages.

Nice storyline, and you don't really need to read the other books in The Bard's Tale to understand this one. Good for light reading.

A nice book which blends humor and mystery together. Quite enjoyable on the whole, as it always is seeing Blackie in action once again =P.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great read!, March 13 2000
This sequel is just as fascinating as the first book - The Initiate Brother. In the sequel the plots are further developed and the story took shape. The oriental setting is quite unique, with an interesting blend of Japanese and Chinese culture. It will be wonderful if there are more books set in this country of Wa.

4.0 out of 5 stars Knowing Discworld Geography, March 3 2000
It is very fun to know the geographical positioning of the discworld. It makes me feel that the discworld is a real place and not some work of fiction. The booklet with a short introduction is quite amusing as well. I think any fan of the Discworld will find this mapp very entertaining

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Glued to the Book!, Feb. 21 2000
The story was truly moving and I fell in love with Vanyel quite instantly! I was imagining myself as Vanyel as I read the book and I simply can't put it down....as I only began to read the book late in the night, I technically skipped sleeping altogether just to finish the book! I would have picked up the 2nd book immediately if not for the fact that I was quite exhausted.
For those who had not read this book, I'll say they're truly missing something!
