Awesome DVD collection!, May 27 2002
I've got the season 2 DVDs and it's amazing! Best Season of Buffy. You have to love the season 2 episodes which include 'Halloween', 'What's My Line pts 1 & 2' and 'Becoming pts 1 & 2'. It's the season of Drusilla & Spike, and when Angel turned bad. Special guest stars include Jason Behr (Roswell/ I don't watch it, but i bet some of you used to) who's in the episode 'Lie to me' and Brian Thompsom (X - Files) who's in the episode 'Innocence'. You get audio commentary by David Greenwalt, Joss Whedon and Marti Noxin. The audio commentary by Joss Whedon in one of the episodes is very interesting, explaining an overall view of Buffy and it's actors/actresses and how buffy is a mix of genres. He also says something about Anthony Head on the set about his pants, which is amusing. Great featurettes, excellent in fact, revealing the inside of Buffy and the work put into designing sets and make up. Interviews by Nicholas Brendon, Joss Whedon, Charisma Carpenter etc. are in the featurettes and tell us about their point of view in Buffy. Some scripts included as well as trailers/ biographies and more. The sound quality is good, a rating of 4/5, only really because it's in Dolby Digital 2.0. The picture quality is good, but watch for the dark scenes because it gets pretty dodgy. The episodes are fantastic! Especially the stunning season finale of Buffy in the episodes of The Becoming. I can keep on watching the last two episodes of the season and always get a thrill out of them each time. Season 2 by far stands out as the best season and important as it not only had awesome episodes but proved "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" was an extreme hit. Well worth the purchase for any Buffy fan or any new Buffy fans or anyone in fact! It's AWESOME!

Buffy is cool!, Mar 8 2002
Yea, Buffy is real cool! I own the first half of this season on DVD and I love the episodes. It starts with the episode 'When She Was Bad', bringing back Buffy, Xander and Willow together after the boring holidays.~Good training sequence~That episode was cool and pretty emotional and funny: ' A Bitca? ' - Xander Funny Quote, watch for the first episode of the season :).Oz is in a few episodes I can say, so is Angel creeping from the dark. I especially love the episode 'Lie To Me', featuring Jason Behr, the guy of "Roswell" (Haven't Seen Roswell though). It's also an emotional episode where Buffy's friend comes to visit. Other good episodes as well, haven't seen all yet. Like the audio commentary and scripts. Watched episode 'Reptile Boy' with audio commentary and it's nice to hear a lot extra about the episode. Good episode, Xander at his funniest, hehe. Great Menu animations screen. Love the Buffy theme music with nice DVD sound quality, just watch for the dark scenes, it's pretty dodgy. Overall high quality episodes with all the emotion, drama and action that must be seen. ~Remember, I only own episodes 1-12~ It's a must see for Buffy Fans, yea I'm a 16 yr old Buffy fan myself. Sorry, but Angel would have to rule being the best series around now! I also own Angel Box Set season 1 ep. 12-22, which is so awesome and would rule over my Buffy box set. Anyway, good work on these DVDs!

Jean-Claude Van Damme is now 'The Watcher', Dec 22 2001
Have you seen 'The Watcher' with Keanu Reeves? Did you like that? Well you'll like this. Pretty much the same story as 'The Watcher' where there is a killer in black with long hair that kills lonely women and stalks a police officer. But in 'Replicant', the killer is cloned. I am a Jean-Claude Van Damme fan and I have to say that this film ROCKS! Probably Van Damme's best. Replicant is a sci-fi thriller. Good story and its new and different. The word 'ORIGINAL' comes to mind. Jean-Claude Van Damme acts good as the killer and the clone. Van Damme's voice even sounds different as when he's the killer which shows good acting. The voice of the killer by VD is awesome and he really sounds like a bad guy. The replicant is dumb and acts like a kid in a 40-year old body. Very good acting by Michael Rooker who plays a bad [...] cop. Like most of Rooker's films, he has a temper. Great film which is a definite recommend for everyone. Recommend: The Watcher (2000)

Lock Up Is The Best!, Dec 20 2001
Lock Up is the best Sly Stallone film ever! If you want to watch a prison film which is emotional. This is it! OR even if you just want to watch a film. Frank Leone meets the infamous Drumgoole again and is put in a 'hell-hole' prison. A real prison actually, one of the worst in the world. Leone becomes friends with other people who have made mistakes in the past. There's a football match in the mud. Trivia: Stallone nearly broke his leg in the match. It was a rough game. The hardest shot in the film. The film is packed. Truly great and at the top of my list. Get the DVD, it even makes the film better! The picture quality and sound quality are great! I don't know what the DVD reviewer was watching when they rated this. Evryting is good. I love the Bill Conti music which is emotional. And Ever Since The World Began by Jimi Jamison.

One of the greatest Martial Art Film Made!, Dec 8 2001
This is a Van Damme favourite, even though not my favourite VD film. True story about Frank Dux who goes to HK to fight in a Kumite, replacing the place of the Tanaka Clan. He's first trained. He goes to HK where he meets up with a reporter and finds a friend, Jackson. Frank and Jackson enter the kumite, a secret underground tournament. Kumite = Japanese word for fight. Lots of action scenes, a a true Martial Arts film. There is one thing I don't get. Why isn't this film on DVD???? Recommend: Kickboxer (1989)

Rambo With A Toothpick, Dec 7 2001
This film is great! (...) This was like one of the first of Stallone films that I had watched after the Rocky series. Maybe it's a little cheesey, but it's how all movies were made in the 80's. I like the beginning where Stallone comes in to the supermarket. Some dark scenes in the film. Substantial amount of violence, good film. It actually has a good story to it, yep another cop story against the bad guys. Fair Game.

The most well-made movie made!, Oct 22 2001
Tim Robbins stars as Andy, a banker who is put into prison and on the way finds trouble and some friends. He becomes great friends with Red (Morgan Freeman), and their friendship builds up in the movie till it reaches it's maximum peak. This movie is a "Total Triumph", and probably the best movie of the century. I have been writing stories so I can make movies when I'm older and thought I could make some of the best movies ever. But I would never make a movie near as good as this one. It's mainly a prison film which suprises viewers. Great acting by the main actors, and in my opinion should have won 'Best Picture' and many other awards it was nominated for. I gotta say Stephen King is an excellent writer. Watch this movie!

'Rocky, Rocky, Rocky!', Sep 15 2001
This is the ultimate collection. Actually I bought the region 4 version in NZ. It only comes with 3 covers, but all 5 discs. I love the Rockys. Actually I guess I love them all. Now about each disc. Rocky 1: Special Edition- Great transfer, great movie and great Dolby Digital 5.1 mix. It's a true classic, with everything in it. Great Video Commentary by Stallone. Must Buy! Recommend! Rocky 2- Not very good transfer, still ok though. Sound quality not that good, but like I said about video transfer, it's ok! A good enjoyably film anyway. Rocky 3- A Dolby Digital 5.1 transfer that's ok. I like it, but Eye Of The Tiger doesn't sound in DD 5.1. I can remove the vocals on DD 5.1 discs, but in Rocky III, I can't remove the vocals like in Rocky IV. But an entertaining movie, Excellent! Rocky 4- The best Rocky ever, the best music and I love the song 'Heart's On Fire', I reckon it's the best Rocky theme ever. Great training montages and great last fight. Man I love the music!! Dolby Digital 5.1, thumbs up. Rocky V- I really like this one. Very entertaining, and I don't know why people don't like this one. I reckon it's one of the best Rockys. Great moments in this, and the credits give good memories. It would've been kool if it was Dolby Digital 5.1. About the 1.85:1 ratio: I notice that all the Rockys cut of bits on top and bottom with the black bars. It's because it's the director's vision. But they all have 3 formats, Widescreen, Anamorphic and Full Screen. And I love it.

"Wrong Bet", Jun 23 2001
This is the best Jean-Claude Van Damme movie ever. From family to fighting to family, JCVD fights for money to help his brother's wife and daughter out. And at the end, JCVD fights a big guy where there is no rules, but hard-hitting action. Have people placed the wrong bet? Watch it and find out. The movie has the action and a great powerful movie score which makes this the best Van Damme movie ever. I wish I could own this on DVD, but Australia and New Zealand aren't releasing it on Region 4. Only if they did.
