5.0 out of 5 stars Very Elegant Accompaniment to any K-cup Brewer, Mar 22 2010
We purchased this to store our K-cups for our Breville coffee maker. We're very happy with the Carousel AND the brewer. The carousel is gleaming chrome, spins easily, and stores plenty of K-cups for easy viewing and use. True, K-cups are not included, but that's pretty clear in the item description, so I don't think it's fair to review the item poorly because K-cups don't come with it.

Besides, you'd miss out on the fun of stocking your Carousel with your own coffees! I recommend Tweed and Hickory (just Google it!) for purchasing K-cups - great selection at a great price. While you're there, check on the price of this Carousel, it's probably cheaper there!

5.0 out of 5 stars So Accurate it is Eerie - Schiff Saw this Collapse Coming, Oct 8 2008
My only regret is not having read this book sooner - I ordered it some time ago and it sat on my "to do" pile... until this global economic crisis hit.

Reading this book is liking reading a play-by-play of how the global credit crisis, real estate bubble, stock market plunge and ensuing recession (depression?) are all precipitated by the out-of-touch economic policies of the United States and Federal Reserve. Schiff also explains how national and consumer debt have hamstrung our economy, and debunks the fallacy that borrowing to consume drives the economy.

The frightening part is the worst is yet to come - Schiff explains that this global financial crisis could become much more severe. Thankfully, he offers chapters of tips for not only surviving, but profiting from the this horrendous situation.

So if you're worried about your mutual fund retirement savings evaporating, or how you are going to manage your own personal financial crisis, you really should buy this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars An easy to use resource for all cooks and gardeners!, Feb 11 2008
This review is from: The Herbfarm Cookbook (Hardcover)
I just received this book from my husband as a Christmas gift. I devoured it in a week, reading it almost like a novel. Now I am bursting with ideas I can't wait to test when spring arrives and I can begin to harvest my backyard herbs. I have never heard of the Herb Farm but last year I was lucky enough to dine at Sooke Harbour House on Vancouver Island, which is a fine restaurant that relies heavily on its extensive surrounding herb gardens. I have been growing herbs in large and small pots and here and there in my yard for several years (Richter's Herbs is a super source here in Canada) because I like their fragrances and how they look. But I have been a bit afraid of cooking with them. My trip to Sooke Harbour House started to build my confidence. Jerry Traunfeld writes with such an easy, confident and passionate style you know these are recipes he has cooked many times and they will work, and his gardening advice rings true as well! Now with this book handy on my shelf, I am ready and eager to really get cooking! I strongly recommend this book to all cooks and gardeners!
