3.0 out of 5 stars They do the job, Aug 29 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am not a great reviewer, but I figured I'd share my experience so someone else may benefit from it.

First the good stuff, the filter performs its duty of cleaning the water, I have no complains there. Water tastes great and the flow is even. In general is a good product.

Now the cons; ok, I may be a little picky, but bear with me.

- Price: this product is pricey. $15 cheaper in the US if you shop around and $10 cheaper at Amazon.com. The problem is that Amazon US charges $10 for shipping so it comes to the same total price. I'd rather boost our economy and not the one in the south, so I got it from Canada (very fast shipping too!)

- Presentation: the housing is white, I prefer the old model that was clear so you could see how clean (or disgusting, in my case) the filter was. Also, the front plate (the one facing you when the filter is installed) leaves a gap all around in its hole in the fridge. This plate comes off, which I tried to replace with the old filter's plate, but the old one won't come off. The old filter feels a lot sturdier.

- Performance: As I said, the filter does its job; my issue is with the little nozzles that connect to the water supply. If I press the release button to take the filter out water sprays all over the place as if under pressure. This never happened with the old filters. If you turn the new one with the nozzles pointing down, water will drip out. I suspect the old filter had some back-flow valve in it that this new one is missing.

Overall it is a good product and you don't have to worry about its negatives for 6 to 12 months. I do not think it is worth the $39 I paid for it, but the $28 (or cheaper) that it goes for in the US is closer to the mark.

Thanks for reading

Commercial, vapid, shallow. Bad characters and senseless story. There is nothing else to say about it, go read it and find out.

CIBC Dividend Unlimited World Elite MasterCard Card
CIBC Dividend Unlimited World Elite MasterCard Card

5.0 out of 5 stars Good rewards card, Dec 13 2011
I applied and received the CIBC Dividend Unlimited card. Of course, I made sure I qualified for it first.

I think it is a great rewards card. The interest rate is reasonable at 19% although I qualify for a lower rate, I will call them in about 6 months and request a lower rate based on my previous history.

I prefer Visa over MasterCard, but this has great acceptance. The rewards are pretty good, but you have to take the $79 annual fee in consideration to make sure it is worth your while. I easily put $15K a year on my Visa, so if I were to transfer all that spend to this MC Dividend one I would get about $135 dollars back, or about $56 dollars after the annual fee is covered. It is not great, but the card pays for itself and then some since you also get the travel insurance, car rental insurance and other card benefits... will this be better than getting Aeroplan miles? I guess time will tell. In addition to that, I am getting $200 from Amazon to spend on whatever I want!

Get this card if only for the Amazon GC. You are getting $121 for free ($200 - $79 card fee)

1.0 out of 5 stars Why, why why?!, Aug 29 2011
Why, o why could he not leave the story alone?! The series ended. It ended in a weird but definitive way.
It was a mediocre series at best, but I kept reading it hopes to see the end. Was 13 books not enough to make your point, Terry? Is this another rant against socialism?
Man, I am whining now, so I will stop. I hope this is the "most awesomest" book ever... otherwise it will be a waste of my time. I have now downgraded Goodkind to Paolini's level

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice case, May 20 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The case does what it is supposed to. It fits my iPad 2 nicely and protects it while on the go. It is definitely NOT leather, you have to read carefully in the description to find that out, but the price should be a giveaway. That is as far as the product review goes.

Now to the vendor. eForCity has an amazing customer service: there was a mail mix-up with my shipment, after having me wait their policy 21 days they promptly sent me a replacement shipment. The new shipment took about two weeks (a bit long IMHO). Although I was disappointed that I did not get my case in time, I recognise that it was not eForCity's issue and that they reacted very quickly and effectively.

I would certainly buy from these guys again
