3.0 out of 5 stars Not in-depth enough, Jun 5 2004
This books disappoints because the coverage is not in-depth enough. When you take sample exams, there are a lot of uncovered topics. I found Que's books to be much better preparation for the MCAD exams.

2.0 out of 5 stars too slow paced, May 20 2004
Tried this one because I like John Grisham, Robert Goddard, etc. This books starts off real well, but is too slow paced overall. I stopped reading it after about 100 pages in a passage with an endless description of the romance between 2 teenagers... Thought this book was better...

3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable holiday reading, but not exceptional, Aug 5 2003
Enjoyable reading, but a predictable ending. The concept of the story was very appealing in the beginning, but towards the second half, a child good guess who was the bad guy... I liked this book, but I've had enough of Grisham for a while now...

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good novel, Aug 5 2003
Very good crime writing, I enjoyed reading this book very much. The theme of the story (drugs smuggling) evolves towards anti-American terrorism, which was somehow disappointing since there is enough fuss about that already. It was my first Ed McBain book and I'll certainly read more...

2.0 out of 5 stars Stopped reading after 30 pages, May 1 2003
I stopped reading this book after 30 pages. The story seemed very compelling when I bought the book, but it was a big disappointment. Contains endless details about the inquisition of the Jewish community and fails to grab my interest. A major bummer.........

3.0 out of 5 stars A little bit disappointing, April 27 2003
This book contains lots of valuable information and is certainly worth reading. But at the same time, I had expected more of it. It describes too many factual details about the history of hydrogen's use in various applications and gives too few technical information about hydrogen as a fuel. The book does not give a very thorough analysis of how a hydrogen economy could be established, how those massive quantities of hydrogen will be produced in a way that is both environment friendly and realistic, why or why not to use nuclear power to do so, etc.
Rather, it leaves a lot of open questions and does not give answers to the issues that really matter (e.g. if hydrogen is produced through reforming of traditional carbon fuels, what to do with the carbon then at the production plant).
Nevertheless, the book is certainly worth reading... I think it's one of the only serious books on hydrogen at this time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than "Into the Blue", Mar 2 2003
A well written, entertaining and truly original story. I read Goddard's "Into the blue" before, but liked this book much better. Worth reading!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, but very valuable message !, Jan 23 2003
The author's message is straightforward and simple; the book learns a couple of very valuable techniques for happiness in daily life; written in a no-nonsense style.
Buy this book if you are seeking more authentic happiness in your daily life... you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the better John Grisham books, Jan 9 2003
This review is from: The Firm (Paperback)
Gripping story, very worth reading.... this is one of the better Johan Grisham books... better than "The Brethren" and "The Testament"... as good as "A Painted House" (although a much different style)... The story is never boring and when you get further to the end, you just cannot stop reading...

3.0 out of 5 stars Drags on for too long, Oct 3 2002
This review is from: The Client (Mass Market Paperback)
Nice, compelling story, but the book drags on for too long. 460 pages is too much for this story. John Grisham should've told it in half the time. Sometimes repetitive. Certainly worth reading, but John Grisham has much better books (The Testament, The Brethren, A Painted House,...)
