1.0 out of 5 stars Just say no...., Mar 16 2004
What can I say... I am dissapointed with this DVD...
First is why just audio not just the whole show visually??? Have a feeling it will be a seperate release.... Records execs have to keep lining those pockets.....
The DVD is a bit misleading as far as what I mentioned it says audio only in small print....
But of course who would buy just a audio only DVD?!
The interviews are interesting but if you have Yesyears back from '92 then you know the story..But its interesting to see them grow musically and elderly ;) since then. They just get better with age(talent wise)....
Some segments can be a bit longwinded; 190 mins.- is alot of footage more obscure live stuff would have been nice.I havent really listened to the "show" yet but I hear its mediocre as far as sound quality...
Lastly, why Daltrey? Dont get me wrong he is a great singer just not narrator.... Too much accentuating; gets a bit annoying in some places. Not mad at Yes just the greed of the record industry to make a quick buck and to mislead yes's longtime fans. Just good for 1 or 2 viewings for some live footage from last tour... Borrow from a friend and judge yourself....

5.0 out of 5 stars On the money, Oct 29 2003
What can I say... This is a awesome DVD set. I cant see anyone flaming this latest release.Drums dont sound like toys to me....
Sounds like Peart! Wich BTW is a incredible drum solo he preforms worth the meager price alone. As for NOT hearing the crowd? I am buying this for the gig not the crowd! All wont be happy with this set. wich is fine. I wish they added more easter eggs like more rare stuff. I got the '75 vid on cdr already so I am not worried about it. But its a peice of Rushistory. If you are even a bit into this band gets this DVD. Better yet, see them live I did 9 times and they got better every time......

5.0 out of 5 stars Will be awesome.., Sep 27 2003
I have seen Rush 7 times from Presto through Counterparts and saw them in Holmdel about 8 years later. What a amazing night... We had awesome seats and they kicked our butts that night! This will be the DVD to kill all live DVD's... I cant wait for it!
I am dying to see his new solo up close!!!
In short, if you are a newbie, buy this dvd and see what the hoopla is all 'bout.....

5.0 out of 5 stars These Songs Remain the Same...., Aug 6 2003
What a great show! I was very impressed with the sound quality of this show..Never wouldve guessed it was recorded over 30 yrs ago!All the instruments are well balanced. Bass couldve been took up a notch but not really noticeable. Highlite for me is Bonhams drum solo.He makes a 17 minute drum solo feel like a drum fill. The show has a few lulls here and there (i.e. Pages violen bow across his guitar part). But not long enough to let you skip a track cause you know the band comes back in full force...
In a nut shell buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool video, Aug 3 2003
Ok, I love U2. I saw them on this tour in Philly and East Rutherford, and it was great. POP was not the best U2 album but hey, they are allowed to slip a bit right? U2 were in top form this night. A great show with great songs, get it and get U2 from 2001 Boston even better than this, DVD's are 100 times better and dont degrade like vhs.in any event, a cool vid buy it and enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wired!, Aug 3 2003
This is a great video. I remember when Bad was shown back when MTV played real music. It brought back memories. Though now I am a HUGE U2 fan, then I was just a kid who wondered why they were so big.Now I see why. This is a interesting look back at U2 at their climb to the top. It was cool to see them making a record how it worked back then before real technology took over. Best part is seeing A Sort of Homecoming, and BAD live. They still have this same passion live now as then. I would suggest this vid to newcomers as well. Wish it was longer, but its worth evey penny. Cant wait for the new CD!I must say in this world of sellouts U2 havent done that yet with all their money and success they still are thankful to the fans and pour thier hearts in the music. Get it, now!: )

4.0 out of 5 stars Just a calendar.....But a U2 calendar!, April 30 2003
I must agree to an extent, this isnt the best of U2 calendars out there. Oddly is each month has a smaller pict. inserted in a week with each month and it is better than the main one of the month! Go figure While the pictures do look a bit gritty, it is intentional. Again, this is only a calendar so at least for me be overly critical of it is just silly. I LOVE U2 so anything with them in it is cool. If you do hate it, you can recoup your losses and resell it on ebay...
