As good as ever- no, better!, Feb 25 2000
TLC tells the story the way it should be told, telling the truth of the problems today. They also speak in the power of women: don't let ANY man take YOU for granted, girlfriend! Their soulful voices really make this album come alive. I love all the tracks (even the interludes are cool). "Unpretty" is such a beautiful song with such a powerful meaning. "I'm Good At Being Bad", "No Scrubs", and "Silly Ho" are really cool girl power songs. This CD is definitly a must buy, even if you're just starting to like TLC.

I know I already reviewed this CD, but boy it KICKS!, Feb 11 2000
This whole CD is great! People say that putting one of America's greatest bands with one of America's greatest symphanies together is a bad idea, but the symphany makes the already fantastic songs spookier! I love the whole CD, but my favorite is "No Leaf Clover". "Feul", "The Memory Remains", and "Master of Puppets" come in at a close second.

This is good? No, they still suck..., Jan 28 2000
"God Must Have Spent..." was written to a child from a mother's point of view. So, why are they singing this? Not only are they torturing the nation with poor, corny tunes, their lyrics (which weren't written by them) are screwed up, too. *N SYNC's songs would not be this way if they actually wrote them.

This really is good., Jan 20 2000
I don't care about the looks, I'm just a fan of the music... And I'm not 12 years old, mind you, and neither are many of the other people who found "Middle of Nowhere" likable -- many adults like Hanson, too. I don't care how many CDs you have, and I don't care about your life story, either. You've got to relize something about Hanson and "Middle of Nowhere". This was written/co-written and co-produced by the band Hanson themselves, when Ike was 16, Tay was 14, and when Zac was 11. You have got to be crazy not to think that these boys (yes, they are boys) are talented. You have to admit it, even if you don't like their music. What's more, they play their own instruments. Why don't you go bother BSB or *N SYNC or something because, unlike the hard working Hanson bros., they don't write their music, they don't write their lyrics, they don't play instruments for their music, and their music isn't good anyway. But take "M.O.N.": It's not my favorite, but I really like it a lot. The songs were written from the band's personal expriences ("With You In Your Dreams" and "MMMBop"- you just have to listen to the words) and what teens really feel and think ("Weird", "Thinking of You", ect., ect.). All *N SYNC ever sings about is breaking up with some girl, still loving that girl, and wanting her back. One theme. On one of Hanson's very mature songs, "Weird" (which happens to be my favorite Hanson song), they sing about feeling left out and wishing someone was there who understood them. I don't care how old you are, everyone has felt that why or will feel that way or do feel that way. "Thinking of You" is about a boy with a crush on some girl, but can't be with her (I guess because he can't tell her how he feels about her). Everyone feels like that. "With You In Your Dreams" was written by Hanson alone for their dieing grandmother. I don't care what you say, these boys DO have talent, even if you think this CD is bad or good! My favorits: "Weird" (my most fave), "MMMBop", "Madeline", "Yearbook", and "Look at You, Baby". I really don't like "Thinking of You" and "Lucy", but they're okay. The rest of the songs are really good, too. They don't really sound like the Jackson 5, but some of Hanson's songs have a 60's and 70's sound to them. Also, "Weird", "Yearbook", "I Will Come To You", and "With You In Your Dreams" are very mature and are NOT (I repeat; NOT) "teeny-bopper"!

Really good!, Jan 17 2000
This is a great dance CD, but many of the songs sound too much like "Mambo #5", so Lou will probably unfortunitly end up a one-hit-wonder. But, it's original and is different and better from a lot of the stuff that's out today. My favorites: "Mambo #5", "Can I Tico Tico You?", and "Mambo, Mambo".

Not just a "small thing" that you put in the stereo..., Jan 11 2000
I love this CD! I find songs like "Dumpweed", "What's My Age Again?", "All The Small Things", "The Party Song" and that one little "Gary" song (don't really know it's full title!) very funny! The whole CD is great rock music. I highly recomend this CD. My two favorite songs are "What's My Age Again?" and "All The Small Things". The videos to those two songs are great too... Yeah baby!

Groovy, baby!, Jan 8 2000
I think this is a very groovy, well-blended '60s CD. My favorites on this CD are "These Boots Are Made For Walking", "If You Wanna Be Happy", "You Really Got Me", and "O Pretty Woman", but I love every other track except two. I don't like "Happy Together" and "I Only Want To Be With You". I'm only a teenager, but I'm really into '60s music, so I highly recommend this CD. If you really love the '60s sound, I would also recommend Smash Mouth's "Astro Lounge" to you.

Amazing... That's all that can be said., Jan 7 2000
Putting a metal band and a symphany together to record covers defenitly took serious guts and was a real first. But the formula worked out greatly. Oppisites do attrack when it comes to Metallica and the San Francisco Symphany. The songs are great! My favorite song is "No Leaf Clover".

From the girl who wrote "Umm... No comment" comes "Crap!", Jan 4 2000
My title explains every thing. This crappy CD has one theme: "Girl, why did you break my heart? I love you and I want you back." Very cheesy and monotnous if you ask me. Pretty much all of the songs on this CD start that way (examples: "I Want You Back", "Tearin' Up My Heart", "Drive Myself Crazy"). And that up-beat-like tune is used too many times from "I Want You Back", to "Tearin' Up My Heart", to "Giddy Up". And it's been used more than I can count by the Backstreet Boys, who were here even BEFORE *N SYNC came out. I would NOT recommend this CD! Try some good music that was written by the band members or artists them selves like Mettalica, Garbage, Bjork, Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, or even Hanson. I forgot to put my e-mail on "Umm... No comment" so here it is: lefurge@snowhill.com
