Obviously Her top album of the 80s!!, July 5 2002
As I see it this album was her most famous of the 80s because out of 9 origional tracks on the LP version 5 became hits. That's just AMAZING. The good thing about this particular Madonna album is every song is radio friendly even though "PAPA DON'T PREACH" caused controversey it was a hit and had a good message. That's anti-abortion for you. I own this particular remastered version of the album and love every minute of it. In my eyes, even though five hits on an album is awesome, every song was a hit. It is by far worth your time and money. This is what Madonna is all about, id give her 10 stars but its just perfect. Each star represents a great song: PAPA DONT PREACH, OPEN YOUR HEART, LIVE TO TELL, TRUE BLUE AND LA ISLA BONITA. Also please note Kelly Osbourne's version of Papa dont preach is a joke compared to this long lived masterpiece. WAY TO GO MADONNA!!!

Madonna Brings Out Her Spiritual Side Once Again, July 5 2002
This is one of the first Madonna albums I listened to in my whole life.(Im 16) My aunt a really big Madonna fan leant me this album to listen to because she was always telling me odd things about Madonna and the 80s and i began to asked questions related to Madonna so she thought I would like LISTENING TO MADONNA. Well the truth is I LOVED the album when she leant it to me, my favorites then were DROWNED WORLD, FROZEN AND RAY OF LIGHT and i listened to the whole album but those were still the best. Later on in my school year is was planning to buy the album however it ended up my friend had it and wanted to trade it for my Janet Jackson VELVET ROPE. Well obviously we made the trade because i don't like Janet Jackson that much and still don't to this day because Madonna is still the Master of Music. I began to listen to that album every day and loved it, and Madonna related this to her own personal life. NOW you wonder why i gave it 4 STARS instead of FIVE. Well the truth is I like Madonna in all but there's fewer UPBEAT songs than quiet sort of spiritual songs. Don't get me wrong this album is a work of art and still known as her best album to date but lets just say if you lidten to it often you'll easily become bored with it like myself. All in all a WORTHY purchase and recomended definatly to fans of "LIKE A PRAYER." GOOD WORK MADONNA, EROTICA ALMOST BROKE YOU!(In my eyes it made you)

A Sexual and Raunchy Masterpiece, July 5 2002
To this very day Madonna is looked down on because of this album but the truth is it's art. All EROTICA means is art with a sexual flavour to it. This really shouldn't have and "explicit lyrics" tag on it because it really is not that bad, in a sense it is but just look at all those rappers today like Eminem and JaRule. Even the ROLLING STONES make this album look tame. The truth is the SEX book that came out with this album around the same time is just sickening because it is just plain pornography. Madonna is HOT but should not expose herself like that it "COULD" have ruined her career(Ray Of Light saved her). ALL these tracks are worth listening to(except did you do it,thats just dumb and madonna is not even in it except for the "waiting" part). However there may be tracks you'll get sick of after hearing after once or twice such as "where life begins" because this track is just pure oral sex it's not funny, however it is more suggestive. And "SECRET GARDEN" sounds like it should be a track on "BEDTIME STORIES" and i'll tell you one thing, Im sick of hearing it. However every other track is amazing,EROTICA the title track is a trancy type of song and it's really a dance song and should be in night clubs. FEVER the peggy lee classic is included in Madonna's fashion and has way more dance power than peggy lees. BYE BYE BABY is really nothing to brag about but i could still listen to it over and over. DEEPER AND DEEPER is an AMAZING dance song and should have won a grammy for all im concerned. BAD GIRL is a slower song and has amazing content in it and a very important message,DONT DRINK AND SMOKE AND OTHER BAD STUFF. WAITING is an errr not that great but i still enjoy it, just give it a listen also part of this song was included in the song DID YOU DO IT. THIEVE OF HEARTS is a great track and shows madonnas bitchy side and the moral of this song is DONT ToUCH WHAT BELONGS TO MADONNA GIRLS.WORDS is the BEST song on this cd it is so amazing it has a great message that your actions speak LOUDER than words and has a great beat to it, my favorite on the cd. RAIN is the best Madonna ballad to date and this is another great reason to purchase this cd and lastly IN THIS LIFE is a very sad song of Madonna's friend who died of AIDS however I DONT like gay people ... Hope you will reconsider this album if you were iffy about it.

MADONNA MONROE WOULD BE PROUD, July 5 2002
Im only sixteen and ive owned this album when i was fifteen. Madonna today is often overlooked by Britney Spears Nsync and all that [bad] poppy [music]. Madonna is the true queen of pop. I cannot add anything because all of the other review said it all. This artwork is a masterpiece that will never die in the eyes of true music. The album is broken down into five previous albums including the two bonus tracks (which is why this album still is better than GHV2) and two movie songs.

LAUREN KATHERINE LANA TOO ,MADONNA WE LOVE YOU........VOGUE!, July 4 2002
No vogue is not included on this collection of madonna's work throughout the 90's. Most people had good things to say about this compilation and my review is absolutly no different. However the people who had complaints about this album all basically had the same complaints. They all said they missed great hits such as RAIN, NOTHING REALLY MATTERS, THIS USED TO BE MY PLAYGROUND, BAD GIRL. However songs that weren't such big hits such as DROWNED WORLD, POWER OF GOODBYE and BEDTIME STORY were favorites of madonna herself. I was watching an interview of madonna and she was talking about this particular compilation and she said she handpicked every track on this album because they were songs SHE SAID SHE COULD LISTEN TO OVER AND OVER(over and over is a madonna song too) Therefore by listening to this compilation we are listening to Madonna's best work to date not because they were played on the radio or television but because madonna claimed them as her hits. It is HER MUSIC therefore SHE should be the ONE to decide what her best is. Forget the critics for once people. This compilation IS a GIFT from Madonna to her fans. Like it or leave it people. Madonna is the queen of pop music, NOT BRITNEY! Madonna has shown to express herself and not to repress herself(like britney) Therefore if you do not like this compilation the truth is you do not like Madonna! She has been with us for two decades. Enjoy her while she lasts cause when shes gone, music is officially dead. WE'LL BE STUCK WITH BRITNEY AND NSYNC EW!

Continuing Erotica, April 30 2002
I personally think this is one of Madonna's better albums. I think of this as the continuation of erotica because of the track human nature otherwise it could be whole new thing. In this album Madonna brings out her more depressive side as she seems to point out the negative things in life(hear sanctuary)tracks I thought were the best were Survivor, Secret, don't stop, inside of me, human nature (is the best), bedtime story and take a bow. the rest seem to be mostly depressing ballads which i thought weren't half bad but sounded somewhat the same(forbidden love, sanctuary and love tried to welcome me)If you were a fan of erotica this is the album for you however for retro 80s madonna fans i'd preview this before purchasing it!
