The beginning was very scary and intense but the magic of this story is really wonderful. The idea of taking secret flights on a swan's back, the secret world of the minpin's. A great quick read.

This is a very short very funny great book. Ronald Dahl has very quickly become one of our favourite authors.

What an excellent children's book. This is an amazing work of Canadian children's literature. If you have the chance to read this to a little one (8 and older I would say) take it. Great great book.

We loved this book. My son is in waldorf grade 2 and he really enjoyed this story. I highly reccomend this book to anyone learning the alphabet.

I read my son the first book once and then he successfully read his first book. These are phonetic books with simple but sweet stories and pictures

We started reading through this book almost a year ago. We are almost through the 5+ section. I know it sounds crazy but the book has had a huge impact on our lives. We have already read so many amazing books and we are having so much fun searching out titles and ticking our way through the book. My son is having his life impacted by heroes and heroines so diverse so good so smart so amazing.... Truly this book is such a gift. We will have to read often and diligently to get through this before he grows up but it is our special quest together. I can't reccomend this highly enough.

This is an amazing story, it is very slow to start and the language can be a little tough especially for a child to understand. That said my 8 year old and I were hard pressed to put the book down. My son read the first book in school and liked it so much we just had to read the second. I am very glad we did. Someone needs to make this into a movie, it would be amazing

My 8 year old son really enjoyed reading this book. He keeps talking about Mowgli and wishes the story was longer. Great book.

Both my 4 year old and my 8 year old loved this books. It is full of adventure and is a really great story book. I highly reccomend this book.

When I first got this book, I drooled over all the pictures and recipes. Once I started baking it only got better, everything I have made has been absolutely amazing. The yellow birthday cake with chocolate ganache frosting blew me away, seriously the best cake I have ever tasted. I can't reccoment this book enough every recipe is a crowd pleaser.
