Insiders look, Jan 6 2002
Ever wonder what venture capitalists actually do? Read this excellent insiders account of Benchmark Capital and see how this firm catapulted itself to the forefront of VCs beating Kleiner Perkins in returns in just five years. The book goes in-depth on the stories behind how they funded eBay, Scient, Webvan and Ariba. Moreover the author does a fantastic job making the partners come to life; so much so that you feel you know Bob Kagle and David Beirne by the end of the book.

Fun romp, Jan 6 2002
Great read on the culture of the Silicon Valley and how tycoons like Jobs, Yang, Ellison, Andreesen, and Clark built their companies. Learn about how the "biggest legal creation of wealth in history" all happened. Kaplan does an excellent job writing in a witty biting way.

A good bio to read, Jan 6 2002
An autobiography of this big-time currency trader of Soros fame. His book is full of important trading lessons and amusing stories of his life, gambling at the race track, squash, and playing other games like chess. He got crushed on the wrong side of SPX futures the day before the big 500 point market crash. Lost all the money in his hedge-fund, but I'm sure he'll be back on top someday. It's pretty interesting though to see how much risk this trader took on.

The best Buffett book out there.., Jan 6 2002
Most Buffett books have been horrible, but Lowenstein did a fabulous job in writing about the greatest investor of our time. A must read. One of best books I ever read. Lowenstein is a master story-teller and is probably one of the best business authors of our time.

Another classic, Jan 6 2002
Insightful interviews with the greatest traders & investors of our time. This one is much better than the Money Masters books. Market Wizards taught me that success in trading was more than just luck, as the efficient market people would say and my finance classes at Brown taught. There is skill, education, and a level of learned maturity involved. This is another book I re-read constantly to get inspiration and tips to succeed as an investor. I like this one better than the first book, since it's more applicable to today's markets.

The Best Investing Introduction There Is, Jan 6 2002
By far the best introduction to investing out there. Trust me, I've read dozens of books on this topic. This is the creme of the crop. Gives clear step-by-step explanations of basic strategies and what all the various important investment terms mean. I re-read this classic every couple of years to review.
