Worth the Wait, May 11 2004
If you are not yet a fan of Jane Olivor, borrow this DVD or the CD from someone who owns it.....and you will be. I have been a fan since the 70s and although Jane Olivor dosen't crank out a new cd every 5 weeks, what she does crank out is memorable works of art that dare you not to feel. Bravo Jane! Welcome back. You have been missed.

Love it., Feb 16 2004
Every song is great. One of the stand-outs is "No One Like You" It is the theme song from the movie "Powder". Actually a Rachmaninoff piece. Very haunting and excellently performed by Sarah Brightman.

Wow!, Jan 22 2003
All the artists on this DVD should be proud. They performed in front of noone and sounded as if they were singing only for the person watching it. I never get tired of this DVD and I am touched every time I view it. Highly recommended even if you are not a fan of every performer. Great performances by everyone involved.

Hit and miss., Jan 22 2003
The cast was a hit and a miss. Chita Rivera and Ben Vereen are wonderful. William Katt was wrong for the role, but he has the stage presence and personality to pull it off. I would like to see Pippin revived because the music is wonderful. It is still a joy to watch and I recommend it for musical fans.

Excellent!, Jan 22 2003
This is an excellent concert for musical lovers. Especially Jerry Herman fans. I recommend it highly. Michael Feinsteins rendition of "I Won't Send Roses" will give you chills and Leslie Uggams is impeccable.

The best!, Jan 21 2003
Historical perfomances are difficult to duplicate. I have the DVD version of this set and it is incredible. So the quality of the DVDs aren't the best, the quality of the performances are. I highly recommend this set to anyone who enjoys great performances, and the video and audio are not that bad.

Five stars is NOT enough **********, Jan 7 2003
Beware of SFU bashers. The only way to form your own opinion, is to watch an episode. Don't let a reviewers attention-getting opinion disuade you from at least trying one episode. If you don't have HBO, have a friend that does tape it for you. If you don't like it, you haven't lost anything. If you do like it you will have an hour every week to get lost and involved in this excellent comedy/drama series.
