You know you want to buy this DVD---, Nov 4 2003
---and you should. This concert is nothing short of breath taking with its visuals. It was directed by Hammish Hamilton, who also directed U2's Elevation concert, and he does an excellent job of going back and forth between the performers and the stage hands. I don't know why Amazon doesn't list the songs he performs, but here they are: Here Comes the Flood Darkness Red Rain Secret World Sky Blue Downside Up The Barry Williams Show More Than This Mercy Street Digging in the Dirt Growing Up Animal Nation Solsbury Hill Sledgehammer Signal to Noise In Your Eyes Father, Son If you still feel a bit apprehensive about buying this DVD, it should also be noted that the picture and sound quality are perfect, which cannot be said of the Secret World Live DVD. I only wish there were some mutliple camera angles and more extras.

Great concert, poor DVD, Mar 21 2003
I was really excited to get this DVD, only to face dissapointment. I actually bought this at a store, and I had to exchange it three times because each DVD skipped in between "Digging in the Dirt" and "Sledgehammer." I still haven't found a disk that doesn't do that, which makes me think that this DVD is destined to be re-called. The quality of the film looks cheap (but that's already been mentioned by other reviewers). I was dissapointed that there were limited extras--multiple camera angles would have been wonderful, considering that there is a lot of action going on the two stages and the camera offers a limited view. Also, this may sound a bit picky, but I wish the menu had larger print. It took me a while to realize what I was choosing... Overall, only Peter Gabriel fans will appreciate this DVD...

Welcome to the brilliant mind of Douglas Adams!, May 27 2002
What can a person say to describe the talents of Douglas Adams? Well, those who know all about his works, there are no words good enough to describe him. For those who don't know about his works, then now is as good as time as any to find out. "The Salmon of Doubt" is actually only about 80 pages of a Dirk Gently story. This gives Adams a chance to create his usual elaborate set-ups, but we will never know of where he was planning on going with it since he has, unfortunantly, passed on from this life. The rest of the 300+ pages is filled with the bits that made up his life: on-line interviews, some short stories, articles that he wrote, and some of his personal writings from his computer journal. These represent the best of Adams. Whether he is jogging with dogs that don't belong to him or learning to cope with Frank the Vandal, his humor and wit shine through like a bright flash light beam in your eyes. This book is a must have for any Douglas Adams fan or for anyone who has heard of the man, but isn't quite sure if they'll like his work. If such persons have any bit of intelligence left in their beings, then they'll love it.
