Buyer beware - PC version is rubbish, Dec 5 2008
Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
Love to try GTA IV on your 1 year old, high end PC? Fat chance. These are the following problems so far after receiving the game 2 days after release date:
1. SecuROM: The most bile and hated DRM which can't be removed even if you uninstall GTA IV.
2. Online accounts: 2 different online accounts (microsoft gaming and rockstar social) just to play the OFFLINE, single-player game. WHY!?!? And if you don't have an account, you can't SAVE your game!!?!?! Whoever decided to add this "feature" should be fired and removed from society.
3. Futuristic hardware: Rockstar admits to "designing" this game for FUTURE hardware......which means no current PC can run the game to its full potential....they released a game today which cannot be played until 1 or 2...3...4 years down the line......again....whoever is responsible should be fired and blackballed from any job requiring computers.
4. Bad "programming": In quotes because they did not do any. They took the console version, added some flare and claimed it would run on PCs. This is the worst and laziest port ever.
Conclusion: Not worth it. Rockstar utterly failed. Definitely the last "product" I purchase from them.
