I am not a Tom Cruise fan, but the movie was not bad. The book was much better in my opinion, but then that is often the case. The movies tend to gloss over the details that give the story depth.

Fabulous movie, particularly if you are a horse lover. Lots of action and drama. Kirk Douglas is a bit lame as the hermit uncle (he plays two parts), otherwise this is a great movie!

I think I have seen this movie at least 5 times. I originally had it on VHS, which was lost. so I just recently bought the DVD so I can keep it for future viewing. A beautiful love story, and being a horse lover, the beautiful Friesian in the movie is one outstanding horse!

I have been reading the series of books which is why I got the movie. What a waste of money. It is reallly very bad. Very poor acting, the special effects - oh yea there weren't any...were just awful. It is an interesting storyline, and I hope that perhaps someday someone will pick it up again and try to do a better job at the movie.

I have watched all of the Twilight movies - being a big fan. All have been pretty terrific. This last one was a huge disappointment. Boring. Most of the movie was spent looking at Bella's "gaunt" face. Very little story line. It was just very unsatisfying. When you get to the end of the movie, it was like...huh? That's it?? The books are really terrific btw.
