Okay product., Oct 31 2012
This turner has a slimness and flexibility that make it a little different than other turners, and useful for certain cooking situations.

Wow!, Sep 22 2012
It's all about the musical ideas with Evans -- he's constantly going off in unexpected directions, and afterwards it all seems perfectly right.

One of the best yet., Sep 22 2012
This is a fine album by one of my favourite local bands -- The Great Exhale is one of their best songs ever. An ever-evolving group.

Covers genius!, Sep 22 2012
A collection of covers of an artist people are trying to honour can be a horrible mish-mash, but this one manages to, on the whole, put interesting spins on some great songs.

Maturing Metric, Aug 22 2012
On first listen, this might strike you as less exciting than their previous album, but listen again and you'll find it mightily rewarding. There may be less visceral excitement, but a lot more interesting musical ideas.

Frighteningly good!, July 21 2012
Gaiman is an author who appeals to young and old -- sort of a British Stephen King. A terrific imagination powers this book, along with a great sensitivity to how real people would feel in out-of-this-world worlds. Highly recommended.

Melody!!, Oct 30 2010
I've not been a fan of The Killers, Brandon Flowers' band, but this solo work is the most melodic piece of pop I've come across in a long time. Very entertaining.

Wait for it, Oct 30 2010
The Elegance of the Hedgehog is the type of book that you don't fully appreciate until the end. Remember reading Tale of Two Cities? There's a sophisticated construction, delivered in sophisticated language, that packs a punch when it all finally comes together in the finale. Well worth reading.

Graphic Novel and Philosophical Biography, July 20 2010
This book satisfies both the graphic novel lover, with excellent drawings by R. Crumb, and the reader interested in the life/literary development of Kafka -- a very good amalgam.

Wonderful chanseur!, Mar 10 2010
When I heard La Mer, I at first thought I was hearing Yves Montand. Upon googling it, I found it was by this French singer I hadn't heard of, Charles Trenier. What a wonderful singer! A great buy -- 40 songs for a pittance!
