5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Bargain Price!, July 23 2010
Received my set the other day and the shipping from Canada to the States was ultra-fast! The quality here is terrific, too. The final season has a few sound issues but does not take away from the overall content and quality.

I'm actually quite shocked that they even included the controversial "Baby Of The Family" episode where Samantha manipulates Joey into performing "Toot Toot Tootsie" in blackface at Nell's all-black church. Not your typical standard sitcom fare.

Other hilarious episodes include "The Gun" where Joey fires off a loaded pistol at Nell's foot (by accident) and then bottles up his feelings. That is until Nell's car backfires and Joey has a total conniption fit!

But by and far, my favorite episode is "Sam's Imaginary Friend." This one had me laughing so hard I nearly wet myself!!! Sam is upset that her sisters are maturing faster than her so she creates an invisible friend named Debbie Jo. It annoys the family (especially The Chief) to no end. Chief finally has enough and physically attacks the imaginary Debbie Jo in what can only be called one of the most hilarious acts ever on any sitcom. Great scene featuring Grandpa at the dinner table, too.

I highly recommend this purchase!

1.0 out of 5 stars "Great"? Now that is laughable., July 2 2004
More spin & outright lies to cover for this failure of a president and the 4 embarassing years this country has been subjected to.
Come November the people will have their voice again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Scared Me As A Child!, July 1 2004
The V phenomenon of the mid 80s really made a great impression on my 9 year old mind.
While the lizard/gerbil eating aspects of the show were quite amusing, it was the heavy Nazi/fascism subtext that was really scary. I used to lay in bed scared at night that the Visitors would take us away or I'd awakew in the morning and see one of those huge, hulking ships hovering in the sky.
Nearly 20 later, are we really that far off living in Bush's America?

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Funniest Shows of All Time!, July 1 2004
This review is from: Sledgehammer:S1 (DVD)
I LOVED this show when I was a kid! The humor was something akin to Airplane or the Naked Gun films and Sledge was fab as a zany Dirty Harry type cop. Lots of topical humor for the day, too. References to Reagan, Quadafy, etc. I remember the season finale involved a nuke going off in LA, killing everyone...how did they resolve this the following season? Why they just started the following season a few years in the past, thus making it the first show in TV history where the entire cast was killed off.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!!, July 1 2004
Thank the stars for whoever decided this needed a release!
I used to love to watch Land of the Lost early Saturday mornings and now I can catch up on old times! The claymation dinosaurs (Grumpy, Big Alice & Dopey) really make the show as do the ambitious (yet obviously fake) background shots. Will & Holly play the believability quite well, whereas any other actor would look odd. The Sleestacks rule!

5.0 out of 5 stars Unintentionally Funny, July 1 2004
While the main goal is making the viewer laugh, some parts are eerily funny and cryptic. The film starts out with an hilariously bad song called "It Was A Good Idea At The Time" then the comedy gets underway. At one point Bill jokes on his now-dead son, Ennis. Ennis was being naughty so Bill jokes that Camille wants Bill to "kill the boy...hehehe, kill the boy." Then Bill adds, "...so I go upstairs to kill my son." Morbid, given what would occur nearly 20 years later.

5.0 out of 5 stars THA MAN!!!, June 27 2004
This review is from: My Life (Hardcover)
Clinton ROCKS!!! Clinton still remains extremely popular after his 8 years of remarkable peace & prosperity in the White House and this book proves it! Despite the smear campaigns, the intrusive investigations and lies, Clinton rises above and reminds us all of a time when the people still had a voice in choosing their government.
FACT: Budget allotted the 9/11 commission to investigate one of the most horrific atrocities in American history: $15 million.
Budget allotted Ken Starr during the GOP's appallingly nasty effort to crucify Bill Clinton because he had mediocre oral sex in the Oval Office: $70 million.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ayyy Ohhh, Ohhhh Ayyyyy, June 8 2004
This review is from: Who's the Boss? : Season 1 (DVD)
This DVD set is great! I used to watch this show when I was a kid but it is even funnier as an adult. The neanderthal male maid who works for the icy, corporate magnate. The gender-bending children. Tomboy Samantha and little Jonathon, who makes Quentin Crisp look butch. Then there is Mona, the saucy grandma that all men want in their beds. Too funny! Best lines have to be Tony addressing the girls..."Anguluhhh, MoNuhhh, SahMANthuhhhh!"

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible mess!, June 5 2004
While Bernie Mac gets in a few funny lines and Demi Moore chews the scenery like a rabid Bette davis, this film is just a complete blunder!
Drew Barrymore and her horrible lisp, Cameron Diaz as the dancing retarded angel and Lucy Loo not doing much of anything. Also, wasn't that irish guy completely annoying and had a horrid accent? The humor was just BLAH. Helen Zass anyone?
This film also tried to rip off others...Matrix, Cape Fear, etc.
Just bad....very, very bad!

5.0 out of 5 stars HOPE YOU LIKE WHAT YOU SEE!, June 5 2004
This film is actually pretty good and blends a lot of humor with the horror!
Sid Haig & Karen Black steal this film! Who could not love Grandpa's comedy routine and Baby's Betty Boop lipsynching! A real play on redneck comedy and the blood flows!
