Could have been harder, Nov 23 2003
I was excited by the themes of the book but was less excited once I read it. It could have been better. The stories were pretty standard as far a gay erotica goes. The sexual tension never really develops and it quickly dissolves into the mechanical hump and pump.

Play ball!, Nov 7 2003
One of the hottest erotic novels I ever read. This one is filled with hot sex between baseball players that never fails to get you sweaty. The center of the story revolves around the growing love between veteran Tommy Bruno and the rookie, Tim Weare. Their love grows and they find the true meaning of team spirit together. If you love the boys of summer--you'll love this one!

Starts off good and then . . ., July 18 2003
it gets bad. Not just bad but monotonous. There is little variation in the game and as far as FPS and other shooters I have seen, this is a mess. Driving the cars is difficult. There are endless shootouts and running and running (did I mention running?) through long levels that just become so boring you could fall asleep. There is little variation in the levels, the lighting is bad and the sound is dismal. Sparks your "operator" is so whiney and can't act very well. Jada Pinket is hot and fun to play . . . the rest of it. There are glitches and the so called "clues" and "fill-ins" to the movie the Matrix Reloaded are so nominal (nothing you could have figured out yourself) that you don't really miss anything. I am surprised at the Warchoski Brothers. This game is so [crummy] and buggy and the story is so dull and disposable. You wont miss anything if you don't play this one. Not a thing.

American Blight, Jun 6 2003
Every once in a while, I pull out the old Madonna CD's and try to remember that she really knew how to make infectously, groovy dance music. She needs to do the same. I can forgive the Dick Tracy Soundtrack. I cannot forgive this. This CD is so instantly forgettable, you will wonder why people ever thought she was talented. After really great CD's "Like A Prayer", "Erotica", "Bedtime Stories" and "Ray Of Light" comes this bloated, self-important dirge. Ugh. Forget the lyrics! THe music is monotonus, it hides Madonna's voice and it sags under the sheer weight of the pretension. Maybe the post 9-11 Madonna feels that she has to try to shock us by hurling grenades in a video. The shocks that Madonna really delivered were the unabashed, hedonistic woman who would talk about sex, flaunt her body and make us dance. We need fun and good dance music. The American Madonna I remember is the girl in black lacy things, writihing on the floor and reminding us that bad girls can be like a virgin and still groove. Please, Madonna: find yourself again. Go out to the gay clubs again. Dance with the men. Listen to the music and find the new CD that will take America by storm again.

Good stuff, May 23 2003
I think the Deftones have really grown tight as a band and they have a really great sound that puts them ahead of the rest of the "nu-metal" herd. Unlike most of these bands, which sound generic (take a blind test listen and see if you can tell the difference) the tones bring heavy sounding bas, rythmic guitars to blend in whith Chino's voice. From a moany whisper, tender yearning croon to a wailing scream, Chino has great versatility. Often melodic, always grating, the Deftones deliver great songs like "Minerva", "Lucky You" and "Battleaxe" with seeming ease and grace. Forget Cold and Linkin Park--get this instead.

A more subdued bowie, May 4 2003
I just couldn't get into this one. For some reason I felt like this CD was just too subdued, even for Bowie. The album seems too depressing at times and not in a good way. (ala Station to Station)

The Very Best of New Order and still more to go, May 4 2003
I was hoping this would be the box set that had all of the singles on them. I miss my old New Order 12" vinyl singles that got lost in a fire. :( Still, this is New Order in all of its quirkiness from pop to eurodisco to doom and gloom. No one has done it like NO has and no one ever will again.

Not the greatest, May 4 2003
A few of the stories really got me hot, the one with the firemen being the most erotic thing I have read in a while. The rest of the book is kinda generic one handed reading. Not too bad but not great either...

Wow!, April 28 2003
I would have missed this one if it had not been for Win MX! I found this CD in a search and tried it. Wow is all I can say. This CD has not left my machine. I have been listening to it over and over. Even more, I had no idea that it was headed by an actor, Jared Leto. (Not even familar with his work as an actor.) I think he found a new job here. Spacey rock is what 30 Secs. To Mars is about. It seems like a trippy, spaced out concept album about the furture and living on Mars. The songs are brilliant lyrically and musically. The music goes right through your body and sends shivers through you. All I can say is that this is one of the most impressive CD's I have heard this year. I bought this gem and reccomend you do too!

Silent all these years, April 25 2003
An excellent, well written, researched and fascinating book that chronicles the life of homosexuals through the 20th Centrury. I can't imagine a book that could ever top this book for insight, accuracy and profoundity. I wish everyone--gay or straight--would read this.
