An Overlong Soap Opera!!!, July 18 2004
An adorable book that may seem long at times. The story is about a family with four daughters,Meg,Jo,Beth and Amy. The book opens when the father is away at war. It is Christmas time and the girls and their mother, whom they call Marmee, haven't much to live on but love. This book is a diary of their lives, until three of them get married and have babies of their own. The book ends with them all attending a birthday party, and each realizing that they couldn't be happier for they all have what they always dreamed of. As I said before, this book is overlong at places. I prefer to watch my soap operas on tv. And some of the words were British, and I never did find out what they meant. Other than those faults, it was a grand book, and I give it a rating of 3.5 stars:)

They Just Keep Getting Better & Better!!!, July 6 2004
These are the most awesome and hilarious books, and Janet Evanovich is my favorite 'mystery' writer. This time, the ninth time, turns out to be a computer game. Stephanie,Lula and Connie head to Las Vegas in search of clues, and a little fun. People are dying left and right of them, but after being manhadled and shot at, Steph finds her man. Lula goes through diet problems, and Boo goes missing, but in the end, and with the help of Ranger and Morelli, Stephanie comes out being a top bounty hunter again. To The Nines is full of adventure. You don't want to miss this one. I give this five stars, and I can't wait for Ten Big Ones:)

The Grass Is Always Greener..., Jun 26 2004
Wally Lamb is a magnificent writer, and the fact that this was written from a woman's point of view, just makes it all the more better. She's Come Undone is the second book I've read by this author, I Know This Much Is True being the first. His books seem to me to be so touching and realistic. This is the story of a young girl in search of happiness. The relationship between her parents is terrible, she was raped, she's extremely overweight, she has no boyfriend, and later she desperately wants a baby. All these things make her very unhappy and depressed. If only she could change a few things she knew she'd be happy. When it happens that she's no longer overweight, and has the boyfriend she always wanted, she finds that she still has no happiness. As the book proceeds, and at the end, she discovers that the happiness she was searching for, all along, was there all the the time. You just have to know where to look. I loved this book, and I'm sure it won't be the last time I read it. Since I can give it no more, I'll give it 5 stars:)

I've Read Better by Nora!!!, Jun 13 2004
I have to admit this was a wonderful read, but it could have been better.I'm thinking that maybe if she hadn't made the book so long, she could have kept the important storylines and kept the reader involved. This book includes everything:mystery, love, romance, thieves, kids, animals. But in my opinion it tries to tell too many stories at once. Also I feel that too many things happened conveniently to make the story fall into place. All in all, this was a great book and I give it a rating of four stars:)

I Was Disappointed!!!, Jun 3 2004
I read this book because of the kids, unfortunately there wasn't enough about the kids to make it worth my while. A woman is torn between her job and her kids. She finds joy from both. In my opinion, there is no question about this. I feel the parent should stay with the children, especially while the children are young. It not only benefits the child, but also the adult. I had a difficult time getting through this book, mainly because the sentences were jammed too full, trying to prove that this woman was too busy. It didn't seem realistic. I gave this book a 2 and a half stars:)

I Was Disappointed!!!, Jun 3 2004
Of course, the kids drew me to this book, but there really wasn't enough of the kids to satisfy me. The story never really got me involved. It's like the author tried to cram too much into each sentence to exhaust the reader, and prove that the main character was too busy. It is my personal belief that women should stay with their kids. It not only benefits the kids, but also the parents. It's just too bad that practically the whole book went by before she realized this. I would have rather read about a stay at home mom who struggled, but took great care of her children. This is the first book I have read by this author, and now I'll be scared to read others by her. I rated I Don't Know How She Does It a 2.5 stars:)

She Found The Man of Her Dreams!!!, May 29 2004
Betty Neels had a successful career as a nurse, and when that ended she had a successful career as a writer, with a total of 134 books. She was writing at 90. We lost a great writer in June of 2001, but her books live on as a legacy. Lucy (Lockitt), as in the nursery rhyme, was the youngest of three daughters. Her sisters both had great careers and plans of marriage, while all that Lucy had was work at the local orphanage. That's where she met the available Dr. William Thurloe. She had dreams of marrying him, but he was always with another woman. Could she get what she wanted, or would she always be the child who lived at home with her parents? This book was sweet, I recommend it, and give it 4 stars:)

A Story That Needed To Be Told!!!, May 27 2004
This book handled a very rough plot very smoothly. I admire this author for writing this book. There are so many situations out there just waiting to have stories written about them, and I applaud Susan Elizabeth Phillips for having the courage to write this book. A woman and her son return to Salvation, NC, with not much more than a bad reputation. People try every trick in the book to make her leave. She takes a low paying job and falls in love. With the few friends she has she manages to prove herself. I really enjoyed this book, I would recommend it, and this reviewer gives it 5 stars:)

Utterly Outrageous!!!, May 22 2004
Janet Evanovich has such a way with writing comedy. I love her Stephanie Plum books. Its truly amazing how she can come up with all these different stories. I just love them! Stephanie continues her bounty hunting and at times is just so hilarious. You'll never believe how she get's revenge on Joyce Barnhart, her bitter rival and arch enemy.. This time the chase is after Eddie DeChooch. Along with Grandma Mazur,Morelli,Ranger,Mooner,Dougie, Bob, and a couple more people she picks up along the way, Stephanie goes for another wild ride:) This is a book that will keep you laughing so hard you'll be in stiches. I often yearn to be in her shoes. This reviewer recommends Seven Up to anyone looking for a good laugh, and I give it my highest rating:)

A Rare Gem!!!, May 19 2004
The love described in this book doesn't come along too often, and only to the lucky. When these two people meet, they find they were meant to be together, and battle many different odds to be united. The book's present time is the golden years, and memories of the love they shared, as is implied in the title of the book.was kept in a notebook. Whenever they need a quick pick-me-up they go back to this notebook. A fast read read for me, this book held my interest at every page. It was sweet, it was romantic, and I'd recommend this anyone:)
