5.0 out of 5 stars Printer Supreme, Nov. 14 2011
A trusted friend helped me select this printer. I was looking for all-in-one convenience (print, copy, scan) & got even more. Right now I don't use the fax capacity but it's there in case I do need it in future. I've experienced no problems at all in use. As for set up, the on-screen manual/set up takes you right through it all step by step, diagrams everything so you know just what you need to do each time. I'm not really tech-minded, and if I can do it (I often say) anyone can!

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Read on Soccer, March 12 2011
This is a great read and great value for anyone who enjoys the beautiful game. Unlike a lot of soccer books, this one doesn't focus on the game or the history of it. Instead, various authors comment on different aspects, provoking deeper thought about a lot of things that have been discussed almost ad nauseam in football circles for many years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh, my no longer aching back!, April 3 2010
This is an incredibly effective item for anyone who a) has recurring back problems or b) sits for long hours in one position as in front of a computer. Just before I ordered this item I over-strained lower-back muscles, I'm not sure how, and the aches would NOT go away.

It arrived as promised, in the condition promised and I set it up right away. Within 20 minutes the tight muscles had loosened to the point I could actually move without screaming in pain. I used it alternating the massage and heat settings. The very next day, I was actually walking around and resumed my normal daily routine--pain-free!

I highly recommend this item!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must-Read for Fans of the Beautiful Game!, Dec 30 2009
Ce commentaire est de: Seeing Red (Paperback)
North America calls it soccer; most of the rest of the world calls it football. But all call it the beautiful game. As a retired referee, Graham Poll presents a completely different take on the most popular sport on the planet.

Engaging and deeply-thoughtful, Seeing Red is The Game as seen through an official's eyes. Humourous, serious, and profound by turns, this is an eye-opener for fans, who so often don't see beyond what's good for "their" Club, the one they back heart and soul.

Poll, a career official in England's Premier League--home to such massively-popular clubs as Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea to name a few--also has some very serious suggestions for improving the game; for training of officials; for the Football Association itself.

Bottom line--Seeing Red is a must-read for anyone looking for a fresh, broader take on the game he/she loves.

Owen Hargreaves: The Biography of Manchester United's Midfield Maestro

Canada's international soccer record is poorer today for cutting a young Owen Hargreaves loose!

Author Ian Macleay gives fans of the beautiful game--some call it soccer but to most of the world it's simply football--an in-depth look at one of the modern era's most versatile and talented mid-fielders. The sporting odyssey that brought Hargreaves and Manchester United together begins in Calgary, Alberta. Growing up in a football-mad family--his father Colin and his grandfather both played and followed the game--perhaps it was inevitable that Owen would also adore the sport.

Cut by Canada's junior team at age 15, before his 16th birthday rolled around Owen was solidly settled in and contributing hugely to the success enjoyed by Germany's Bayern Munich squad.

Macleay outlines in fine detail the triumphs and disasters of Hargreaves' career to date. But this book is far more than a mere outline of statistics and highs and lows. The author provides deep insight into the character, determination and personality that forged Manchester's mid-field maestro.
