5.0 out of 5 stars Flight of the Bizarre Sense of Humour, Jun 28 2008
This series is a fantastic example of what two guys from New Zealand with a really strange sense of humour who sing, play guitars and adjust to life in the harsh climate of New York can accomplish when they set out to create a TV show. The comedy is often dry and blunt, but these two kiwi simpletons and their collection of quirky acquaintances had me rolling on the floor laughing, and if this isn't the effect this show has on you, then you truly must not have a sense of humour.

If you enjoy this show, check out the British version of "The Office", the wonderful Irish show "Father Ted", or the Canadian show "The Newsroom" for a good time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gritty but genuine.., Jan 4 2007
This review is from: Music at Matt Molloy's (Audio CD)
This is a fantastic session CD that was recorded live, and apart from some of the music lacking polishing up, it is a tremendous achievement. This album is a wonderful introduction to the raw taste of Celtic music, however, if you are the kind of person that prefers the studio sound, Matt Molloy's other recordings will be more to your liking.

Enjoy it because it's as genuine as they come!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Drama on TV...now on DVD, Nov 9 2006
This review is from: Law & Order:14th Year (DVD)
I have been of the opinion for years that Law and Order is the best drama series to come out of the US in years and it's great to finally see it out on DVD. However, as the previous reviewer rightly noted, it is a real pity that the other modern-era seasons of L&O have not been released in the same format for all of us nuts out here who are still crazy about it. I grew up watching this well-thought-out, well-scripted and excellently-acted series on TV and it is become tedious seeing that there is only one season being released at a time and a treasure-trove of seasons yet to be transferred to DVD, as every seaon is unique and engaging.

I can't wait to own the whole series some day, and sooner would be better than later...
