Better format, better price, same dvd quality, Jun 28 2004
Season 1 episodes on dvd have picture and sound quality that are unbeatable. The packaging, unfortunately, was done in a way to jack the price way up. Now we have season 2 in a more concise format, half the price, and most likely the same superior restoration and fun extras. This is the season with the chocolate factory episode, the baby episodes, and a lot of other hidden gems. Let's hope this one sells so well that we don't have too long for the rest of the seasons on dvd!

Must-have for the Dick Van Dyke Show fan!, April 1 2004
I own the first three seasons of this dvd series and they are unbeatable. The picture and sound quality are great. The episodes are uncut. The extras are fun. Each season has had 30+ episodes along with the pilot episode, emmy award clips, commentaries from the stars and producers, and many more. I have already pre-ordered season four on based on the exceptional quality of the first three and plan on buying the fifth and final season when it is released.

Must-have for the Dick Van Dyke Show fan!!, Feb 28 2004
Uncut and fully restored episodes with lots of extras including the lead stars receiving their emmy awards. I own all 3 seasons released so far and they are so good that I have pre-ordered Season 4. This series includes so many classic episodes that convey intelligent comedy without the raunchiness of today's sitcoms, and many of them are in season 3: the episode where Rob thinks that he and Laura brought the wrong baby home from the hospital, the one where Laura's old beau is now a priest, the one where Laura and Rob have to remarry because she lied about her age on her marriage license, and many more...Classic TV at it's best. Seasons 4 and 5 are coming and I can't wait!!!

Check it out -Season two coming in August at a better price!, Feb 21 2004
UPDATE!! tvshowsondvd.com has a new release date for season two of August 2004 and promises a more reasonable price and more episodes per disc making a more compact package. Hopefully Paramount will confirm this soon!!! If you're a fan of this series, the production of this dvd set is unbeatable. Each episode is uncut and there are 35 of them plus the series pilot in season one and 31 in season two. They are presented in broadcast order. The restoration is superb with picture and sound quality as good as I have ever seen in these episodes. True, season one could have been packaged better, with the price being a little high for your purchase. But I have watched the first season now and am glad I made the investment. And the best news of all is that according to tvshowsondvd.com, Season two will be released on August 31st with a more affordable format similar to the other series releases on dvd. So it might be worth it to save for this set if you want to own the series. Keep 'em coming Paramount!

Excellent package of songs from JT's early career., Sep 13 2003
This album contains so many low key yet fascinating songs. The lyrics are great. The guitar playing is incomparable. A couple of my favorite covers (Carole King's 'You've Got a Friend' and Marvin Gaye's 'How Sweet It Is'), Some fabulous hits (Shower the People, Sweet Baby James, Fire and Rain), and some more obscure hits (Walking Man, Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight) are included. Buyer Beware: If the f-word is not your thing, there is a live version of Steamroller which probably won't make you happy. My advice to you is to invest in some of James' original cd's from his early career and sit back and enjoy! Or you can just skip that track. The first eleven are priceless! Definitely a keeper!

It's About Time!!!, Jan 3 2003
I saw these episodes when they originally aired on a black and white tv with no cable and loved them all! Over the years I have seen the episodes on cable (chopped to pieces due to commercials) and wondered what lines were cut. Now I own this dvd set and can't wait to own the rest! The sound and picture quality is top notch and the episodes are uncut! I have fond memories of all seven seasons of this series and will buy any subsequent seasons that are released. Thank you Fox Home Video. Please continue to release the subsequent seasons. If anyone ever enjoyed the MTM show, this collection is a must!!! A+++++
