5.0 out of 5 stars A story with a twist, Feb 27 2013
Though not as thrilling as Kellerman's past works, Evidence is an insightful and entertaining book to read. He brings the dangers, horrors and insights to the reader in a manner that attest to his writing skills. The twists in the plot comes out right and the way the threads are laid out leading to the finale is great. Reminds me of Triple Agent Double Cross. The characters are equally fascinating and revealing.

5.0 out of 5 stars A page turner, Feb 27 2013
This review is from: Lost Memory of Skin (Hardcover)
I am fascinated by stories that has characters with dark sides, but the types we don't know if we should pity or condemn. Russell did a great job on that with his central character. Reminds me of troubled character of Gavin in Triple Agent Double Cross. How do we judge the weirdos as victims of circumstances or the real perpetrators that their acts depict them to be? This is a brilliantly written book with a classy plot, amazing characterization and narration that makes it he page-turner it is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing, Feb 27 2013
I am more of a true to life story guy, but I recently took an interest in what comes after life or life after life. Dinesh D'Souza came up with a hit here with on this curious theme. He writes in a confident and engaging manner whose outcome is a smooth flowing story that sucked me in before I even knew it.The story flows smoothly and the setting is colourful. There are echoes here of The Verdict of Hades. I found subjects like these intriguing. Even though this is not my familiar genre, D'Souza has made it one to always consider reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful story, Feb 27 2013
This review is from: Triad - Witches Knot (Paperback)
Triad is a story written on a very fascinating premise. But one thing for sure is that this eerily curious but fascinating story strikes a chord with its target readership. I decided to read it out of curiosity and was not disappointed. Lauren crafted a well-observed story with an amazing story line. The smooth flow of the story pulled me in right away from the opening chapters to the end, by the right choice of words, effective dialogue and great descriptive strength. The plot is laid out in a timely manner, and brought out the suspense masterfully. This is not a genre I read often, but I enjoyed this story. My friend put me to this story, The Verdict of Hades, and The Usurper and Others. He was very right about what he said. Good story. I will keep an eye on other Lauren Dane stories. Overall, it is a well-written.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good Patterson story, Feb 27 2013
This review is from: 11th Hour (Paperback)
I consider good stories to be those that are insightful, engaging and entertaining while rife with lessons. 11th Hour fulfills that. It turned out to be a well-deserved wait. The characters are very real too in a way that most people can relate to them. The pointed narratives and dialogues served their purposes. I enjoyed 11th Hour and Triple Agent Double Cross and will read them again. I like good stories that leave me feeling like I missed something in the story.

5.0 out of 5 stars A page turner, Feb 27 2013
I like action-packed thrillers and H Ellison's Think Fast Die Last fulfills that. The characters are rich and exciting The story is written with a perfect mix of narrative and dialogue which makes it fast-paced and the page-turner that it is. With a brilliant plot that reminds me of Triple Agent Double Cross, this story deserves the credit it has been given so far. Thumbs up H Ellison.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Russian legend, Feb 27 2013
This is a well-written book that tells the story of the legendary Russian Czar and an era in ways that few other books have been able to door. It is written with a deep appreciation of facts and flows smoothly.Peter The Great's personality is well describes, his travels well told, his goals well articulated and the challenges he faced trying to realize them well exposed. I ended up knowing more about Russia, its history, culture and mind set in ways that I never imagined before and set me on the path of looking for other works that explain Russia to a foreigner better. It led me to The Union Moujik,The Master and the Marguarita. What we see as divisions in Russia today, or the broader Eastern Slavs are well explained.

5.0 out of 5 stars A deep and fun book to read, Feb 27 2013
This review is from: One Day (Paperback)
A lot has been said and written a bout this book, so there is little to add. However, it lived up to the hype. The author did a great job of creating distinctive and very believable characters with voices that resonate very well with reality. The way the story is written reminds me of the the thriller Triple Agent Double Cross. The plot in this story is brilliant and the setting makes it even more appealing. There are tons of lessons in this book. In short, this mesmerizing story attests to the creative mind of the author.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good story, Feb 27 2013
This eerily true to life story is well written. I applaud the author for the depth of his imaginative mind, which is revealing in this story. He drew the reader into the story from the opening chapter all the way to the end.The descriptions are very vivid and gives the reader a sense of the setting that is almost real. Its depiction of religion in the way some people apply it in the every day lives of man is very reveal, bringing to mind a description I read in The Union Muzhik. The author did a great job at characterization. The compelling plot added further credibility to the quality of the story and the pacing made it a page-turner. Coming from reading Triple Agent Double Cross, I have deep respect from authors who take us to unfamiliar settings and implant us to the point that we relate to the story and its characters as if we were there. This is a story that will strike a chord with a broad readership.

This is a touching and insightful story. I love deep writing and do not hesitate to show my appreciation when I come across one. This is a well written work here with tons of good characters. The prose is excellent, the dialogue flows, the narrative is effective, the plot is gripping and the style is unique and simple. There is no point going on and on. The month has been off to a good start; reading The Oaf and Feast Day of fools. This is a story that will strike a chord with its target readership and even beyond. However, I am glad I stumbled onto it.
