Good If you know your Statistics, July 1 2004
This is a good book if you know statistical analysis. Do you know what to use, when and where? If you do, this book is good because if you are going to use SAS for analysis you have got to know your statistics. What good would FORTRAN be if you didn't know Algebra? You need both.

Good Do It Yourself Book on SAS, Jun 30 2004
This is a very good do-it-yourself book on SAS coding. But remember, it is still "do-it-yourself" so beware. You can get the job done, but it may not always be the most economical or efficient way. Otherwise this is an invaluable book. Keep it handy.

Sounds Good to me, Jun 29 2004
"Feels Like Home" is really a pretty cool album. Every song is good. Norah Jones has put out a very nice CD that is easy to listen to and enjoy. There is really nothing heavy here. But that's the point. Just lighten up and let it move through you.

King of the Hill, Jun 28 2004
President Bill Clinton is truly "King of the Hill" when one reads of his personal as well as political life with his stylistic aplomb and absolute candor as only he could put into the written word. I find it interesting how I never actualized what a man of veracity and integrity President Bill Clinton really was (and still is). Bill Clinton's "My Life" is an absolute revelation. His detractors have utterly underestimated the true character of the man. "My Life" is an indictment of that old phrase that goes something like: "you just had to be there to get it." His detractors never "got it." Perhaps now they will.

Pretty Soundtrack by Carter Burwell, Jun 23 2004
Carter Burwell's score to ROB ROY is pretty good. I did not care that much for the movie, but Burwell's score is very good. He did his homework and it shows or should I say sounds.

Outstanding, Jun 23 2004
I really enjoyed this movie. There is always going to be some question of how actual events are portrayed on the screen concerning THE ALAMO. It may be closer to fact than John Wayne's legendary epic but I enjoyed the feel and look of this film. There was not much glory to be found in this movie until the events following the defeat of the defenders of THE ALAMO. As film goers we finaly get to see what happened after. This aspect of the film brought events more in focus and defined what the meaning of "Republic" really meant. This is a splendid film.

One of the very Best guides on Rome by DK Eyewitness, Jun 11 2004
DK Eyewitness Travel Guides books are synonymous with Quality. Their quality reminds me of the quality that Whitman put into their Story Hour Series books that my dad has from when he was a kid. I have seen other DK books and they really do make a quality product. The high-quality paper they print on makes the photographs and text appear brilliant. This tour book on Rome contains just about everything you can think of and then more. Places to visit, places to dine, maps, hotels, history, currency, transportation and much more are all attractively detailed. This is a great book if you are thinking about or are planning a trip to Rome. Even if you are not taking a trip this is a good book about the city and culture. I highly recommend Dorling Kindersley (DK) books.

Punished for their Transgressions, Jun 11 2004
This film seems to have reached cult status in some circles. A Young woman is lured to a mysterious rundown estate and undergoes an ordeal of physical and mental suffering for her worldly ways. Hidden from the outside world, females are stripped naked and punished under the lash for their transgressions. That is only the beginning of their nightmare existence of imprisonment where the viewer witnesses punishments doled out by a mock jury of eccentric characters. This film is an interesting entry into the mystery-horror genre but its true intentions remain elusive.

Atmospheric Spaghetti Western, Jun 10 2004
Alex Cord is excellent as the stoic outlaw Clay McCord in this atmospheric Spaghetti Western. Hunted by both the law and the lawless he manages to overcome seizures that paralyze his gun-hand. Flashbacks give insight into the psyche of this unlikely hero. Arthur Kennedy, Mario Brega and Robert Ryan also star in this interesting movie but Alex Cord's performance is the real high point of this movie.

Surreal Opening helps save this Spaghetti Western, April 21 2004
The surreal opening of this sequel to SABATA is absolutely incredible and is in the best tradition of the outrageousness of the Spaghetti Western genre. Lee Van Cleef once again is Sabata. This film once more demonstrates the humorous acrobatics and ballistic gadgetry of the Spaghetti genre. Unfortunately the story, if there is indeed one, is almost impossible to follow. However, Van Cleef's tongue-in-cheek approach, which he plays expertly off Reiner Schone's scheming loser, saves this one. At this point in time the Spaghetti Western was in its death throes of existence. This film managed to keep the genre going for a few more years.
