My sister's been raving about Nicholas Sparks' books for years.

This is the first one I read.
So good. Couldn't stop myself from reading.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's alright, Oct. 6 2012
I am happy I read this series.
It has a different point of view on vampires.

Otherwise, I wasn't impressed.

Some parts were really far-fetched.

Like they are 15 years old and they spend all their evenings in bar drinking lots of alcohol.
Like this girl who's the most beautiful girl in the history of New York.

I also didn't like the author's focus on brands. She has to detail what everybody's wearing, which brand, and the approximate cost.
I DON'T CARE.

Not sure I'll read the books a second time.

Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I loved this series.

It is impressive of the author created a whole new world. The time and imagination it required...!!

I really enjoyed the writing style. Each chapter, a different character's story and point of view.

However, in the fourth book, I thought not much was happening. Long paragraphs of description and no action whatsoever. I was looking forward to be done with it. I hope the fifth one will be as good as the 3 first ones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good, March 22 2012
I really liked this book.

For some people, the story in the book didn't turn out to be what they expected and they were disappointed.
When you know before reading it that it's gonna be about the impact of Betty Crocker on the society, there are no disappointments.

It was very interesting and I recommend it.

Memnoch the Devil

by Anne Rice
Edition: Mass Market Paperback
Price: CDN$ 9.92

1.0 out of 5 stars Too emphasized on God, March 22 2012
I find Anne Rice's book way too descriptive at moments.
Usually, I find it takes too long for the story to become interesting. However, when I start liking the story, it lasts until the last page.

However, with this book, it was the opposite.
It started very good and then it became bad... very bad...
I stopped reading it.
I was in the middle of the book and nothing was going on... no action... just Lestat talking about God to Memnoch...
It was way too religion-oriented for my taste... big disappointment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, March 22 2012
It was the first time I had a 'big' camera like this Canon.

This book is great to understand all the features and help you learn how to use this camera when you've never modified settings other than flash or no flash.

2.0 out of 5 stars Meh, March 22 2012
I loved the beginning of the book, but at some point it was too much of the same and I never finished it (which I don't often do).

I don't recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice explanations, March 22 2012
Got this book yesterday and started right away a project.

I had never done interlace knitting before.

The explanations are clear and for every step, there's a photo to explain visually what you have to do!

Great book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good beginner book, March 22 2012
I started knitting last summer, learned on my own with the help of internet.
Before I bought this book, I knew how to knit and purl.

However, this book helped my understand the basics of knitting (yarn type, needle size, etc).
I've learned a lot of different stitches.

My sister started learning too and I bought these for her as they're a great reference.

Since then, I bought other knitting books to do more projects, but whenever I'm not sure how to do a stitch, like K1FB, I check in the Dummies book for help!

GREAT PURCHASE!
