4.0 out of 5 stars A matured Linkin Park, April 4 2003
This review is from: Meteora (Audio CD)
the title says it all...
the lyrics are more mature and i think that they are better than the lyrics from the first album..but even though the lyrics are nicer and the album is a little harder than the pervious one,it's still LP...i mean the songs could fit perfectly in Hybrid Theory...so the band havent developed a new sound....
the album has more skirts and rap mixing..so you will hear a lot of rap in it...
even though it's a cool production,i think that Hybrid Theory was a lot better than Meteora...but maybe that its not a surprize...as a lot of bands who have a lot of success in a short time...the band its very busy...so they dont have so much time to develop a masterpiece like Hybrid Theory..
anyway..the whole album doesnt show excellent sparks...the tracks are average....

4.0 out of 5 stars Pulls The Outrage, Feb 25 2003
This review is from: Antichrist Superstar (Audio CD)
i bought this cd a couple of months ago....i was pretty impressed by Manson's latest ''old'' cd :Holy Wood..wich is 100% good music..
but Antichrist Superstar is like its little brother.... ...musically speaking....cause the guitars aren''t sounding like hard ones...they sound like a broken vacuum machine...and maybe that makes the album so ugly and so messy.....
but the most of the songs are pretty well constructed and gives the album the apropriate touch...if you feel sad and fragile....well after one listening of this album...you will see things on a different way....cause the songs are very raw
1.Irresponcible Hate Anthem 5/5...very good start of the album...the hate begins at the albums's first track....pretty annoying and first..but its cool
2.The Beautiful People 6/5....a perfect song industrial song...their big big hit...very cool song...weird guitars..
3.Dried up,Tied up and Dead to the World 3/5..pretty annoyng song...seems that doesnt have guitars at all..more yelling than singing...
4.Tourniquet...5/5...very good song...one of the albums's best tracks...
5.Little Horn 5/5..i like very much this song...i dont know why..cause it doesnt mean much...but its very strong...the chorus it tremendous...
6.Cryptorchild 3/5...pretty weird track....i dont understand very much the lyrics and the music is senseless...
7.Deformography 4/5...cool song...it takes a bit to accomodate with it..but its very cool
8.Wormboy 4/5...funny lyrics..so ironnical
9.Mister Superstar 5/5..cool song...now kinda starts a good part of the album....and this track is great....
10.Angel With the Scabbed Wings 5/5.....very hard song....one of my favourites..kinda describes Manson at that era
11.Kinderfeld. 3/5....ahm....maybe 3 is more than good
12.Antichrist Superstar 5/5..excellent track....you can sense here the wierd and broken noise of guitars..but i like it very very much....brilliant song...this is my favourite
13.1996 4/5..another ''antichrist song''...cool

14.Minute of Decay 5/5..intresting....i like the chorus a lot..
15.The Reflecting God...5/5..another brilliant song ...this kinda ends up all the hate that manson puts on this cd...
16.Man That you Fear 5/5..finally...the shock era was gone...and this 6 minutes song ends the album in a very depressing way ,full of dirt and keyboards...

when you buy this cd....listen to it very well...cause the first time will be very hard to understand it....for me..its a great vision of life....and i dont regret that i spent some money on it..its a work of art...
p.s...and if you are into hard music..buy Holy Wood...that is real death metal

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Placebo, Feb 25 2003
This review is from: Without You I'm Nothing (Audio CD)
im not a devoted fan of Placebo, but i've always been impressed by their original music interpretation and that ironical touch of the lyrics....
this second album is a full-lenght masterpiece...if you ever heard strong hits like ''Every You Every Me''...then you should buy this cd....

5.0 out of 5 stars Artistic Manson, Feb 1 2003
This review is from: Mechanical Animals (Audio CD)
as Antichrist superstar was a huge step from the horror-shlock debut album, mechanical animals is a very huge step from the second album...and in a good way...yeah,its more comercial, but dont forget that this is Manson...and gives the impression that he done it again...this cd is the most artistical material he has ever done.....and songs like,Great big white world, mechanical animals,disassociative,etc...proove that..

3.0 out of 5 stars fans only..., Jan 22 2003
This review is from: Smells Like Children (Audio CD)
im not a Manson fan...but i like his music very very much...and this Ep...i couldnt say that it worth buyng...cause it has 16 tracks...and only 6-7 are indeed tracks....the rest of the cd is full of instrumentals and hidden tracks...i almost got scared when ive heard the last hidden track..i thought that is something wrong with my stereo or something....anyway..the best tracks on this cd are sweet dreams, rock'n'roll nigger and some remixes from cake and sodomy and dope hat...
i recomend this cd to die fans only...

5.0 out of 5 stars BUY AND CRY, Oct 9 2002

well what can i say...these masterpiece from the beloving band Savage Garden is one of the most beautifull album i ever listened..well now im more into rock...but savage garden will always remain in my heart...this album its about real life..its cruel yeah.....but the album is more mature than the first....the first songs are in a good order to introduct the album..it starts with an overwelming song ,affirmation..its a very fast and optimistic song....but the start is just a lie...the second half of the album is turned into a deeply sentimental one...songs like you can still be free and two beds and a cofee machine...and finally the album ends with a very pretty slow lovesong...i dont know you anymore...you will love it...

3.0 out of 5 stars HIM's third album...., Oct 9 2002
Ville doesnt have an easy job....and it can be seen very well on this album....they had so much succes with their pervious album Razorblade Romance that they didnt had a lot of free time to develop their work....
and thats why this album wasnt made with full concentration....as the singer says...this album has been writtened mostly in the backstages and in their 2000 tour bus....
and thats why the album has this title:Deep Shados and Brilliant Highlights....there are several highlights...but mostly shadows on the album:
1.Salt In Our Wounds 8/10....an average start ..an average song
2.Heartache Every Moment 9/10...one of the best tracks on this album...u have to listen to it a lot to like it though
3.Loose You Tonight 9/10....a very nice track...one of the best tracks from the first listening
4.In Joy and Sorrow 10/10....a very warm and sad ballad....
5.Pretending 7/10...this isnt one of the best tracks on the album...but it was the first single..and it had pretty much succes

6.Close to The Flame 10/10....a wonderfull ballad..Ville Valo didnt lost his touch b-sides his exhausting life back then
7.Please Don't Let it Go 7/10....a faster song...a bit boring at first...but with time u start to like it....still..not a HIM highlight
8./Beautiful 7/10.....a pretty weird song..has a nice moment at the end of it
9.Don't Close your Heart 6/10....the weakest track on the album...and i think it's one of HIM's weakest songs ever
10.Love You Like I Do 10/10...a dark, gothic, groovy ballad....a very nice end of the album.....

so what im tryin to say in here....is that this album worths listening...it's a good album...but comparing it with other HIM albums...this is nothing...
i give it 3 stars...cause as a diehard HIM fan.. i think this album is sort of a dissapointment to HIM fans and HIM's work..

this is the newest release from the great rock band HIM...its not an album.....its just a collection of HIM's hits ...the songs that made them popular and the perviously unreleased single IT'S ALL TEARS(drown in this love)..maybe the new album will be like the first album..thats why they put this single..this is a great oportunity for the him fans...to listen the rare tracks, remixes and live recordings from HIM....there are very good remixes and some rare tracks and the fans should take the chance and buy the single collection...it will worth
