Entertaining but lacking credibility, Jan. 1 2009
I can't say that I didn't enjoy this book because I did. I won't bother giving a synopsis as that's readily available above.
I grew very fond of the old gent that haunted the home as well as the two old fashioned sisters. I've experienced hauntings first hand and was very captivated by the author's experiences - at first.
As I read on, though, I found that the author lost credibility. The story went from an interesting haunting to Ms. Wilder's subsequent OBEs, astral dreams, multiple psychic consults, portals, recently dead from the funeral home across the street drifting through 24/7, etc. etc. By the end of the book I was expected an alien abduction as I think that's all that was left out.
I have an open mind, but I just didn't buy everything "documented" in this book.
