So Very Happy....., Dec 7 2012
Ordered my copy today and I await it's arrival. I got the best price of the bunch from importcds....Again! I love BS&T and have been a fan for 4 decades plus. The "horn" bands from the late sixties really made their mark. Chicago Transit Authority comes to mind in an instant. So many of the hits are on this 2CD set along with some lesser known cuts. I honestly believe this is well worth it......Go ahead.....ATC.

As The Ashes Burn....., Dec 4 2012
I just bought this for one simple reason....Remaster! I have the first "Rep" pressing and I hope that this follows as the superior version. All of the Renaissance discs from this label are steller. Packaging is cool too! Best bet is for me to come on back with an UPDATE....CD arrived Xmas Eve and as I suspected the sonics are great! The "Rep" label does a good job again. This is the version to own. The packaging is replica gatefold and beats out the previous 1995 pressing, which I now can sell....Enjoy the "voice" PS...this was initially recorded in 1973, almost 40 years old!

Riders on the Storm.......C/V, Dec 4 2012
Odd prog project....not all of the 14 cover versions offered here hit the mark. Some weak lead vocals on a number of tracks brings it down to a "generous" 4 stars. With Rod Argent on keys for a satisfying "Riders on the Storm" I'm listening for more!... It is on right now as I type this. First impressions never get second chances....as a whole, this 71 minutes is a novelty and you know what happens to novelties? Not built to last.....You're choice.

Miles Away....., Dec 4 2012
This 5 CD set hit my mailbox today. The deal is clear. I paid about 5 dollars a disc, a little less actually! The sound is the same as the early releases.....reliable. These 5, unremasters.... are the least expensive if you search these out on the Amazon.... The first song I played was, of course, 'Hypnotized' from "Mystery to Me". The first two of this box set I do not own so that's a great bonus..... "Then Play On" and "Kiln House" will be part of the still growing collection. If you want early Mac....no Nicks.....take this on. It's definetly worth it..... There will always be...."Future Games".....

Annie's Debut......, Dec 3 2012
I got a lot of great FYI from the previous reviews. It is one of the good things about the online experience. I will order this as I already own great remasters of the next 3 discs that follow this one. It's time to get this in my stable of early seventies material. Of course I love Annie Haslam's vocals. That's part of the draw.... I'll return with the usual UPDATE....The label that released this did a good job. The sonics are clear. There isn't any current "tech" info... but my ears told me this is a good buy! I had forgotten this album from the seventies but was surprised how this holds up after decades. The voice of that woman is so appealing.....This version is worthy.....

Fire Brothers......, Nov 17 2012
Great comp of the "Silver"....The remaster is worth the price I paid. The song selection is satisfying. Like most BGO efforts the sound quality is above average. I have the recent, first 7 single album remasters and all the cuts on this are from those discs. I have always dug this band since the first listen in the early seventies. Saw them live at the old Victory Burlesque here in town. Show was packed. What a memory! This is well worth it for a new listener. This is O.H.S. all the way.....

Slowhand 2012 Deluxe Box Remaster......, Nov 13 2012
The reviews regarding Slowhand are all ancient. The slate should be clean as it was released only....today! December 18th. I got a great deal on this set. I'm a happy customer. Thanks Amazon.....The deluxe set is a real groove and it costs a few....but it may well be collector material. The price might drop, time will tell. The first song, "Cocaine" sets the mood, if you get the joke, before heading into "Wonderful Tonight"... The single disc remaster is a real good price. I bought 2 copies! I think I'll return with a late, sonics UPDATE.....The sound is absolute....they got it right. This product, whether you buy the single disc or the "production" you are getting the best this has ever sounded. On first listen, I'm a believer. December 25th 2012.....BE CAREFUL when pulling out the discs and booklet. They are not independent of the slipcase. They are all attached. Pull out gently and open like the pages of a book.....swing them from right to left.

Gotta Love the "Tom Cat"....., Nov 11 2012
Great sounds on this disc. The young Robben Ford plays his part! Tom Scott has a style all his own and this is my go to album by the guy. One quiet track credits Joni Mitchell with a "refrain"... This is jazzy enough for any ear. I'll offer two thumbs up..... I bought the remaster from a 'seller'....a good deal! Less than ten. Like a good vintage....74 was a very good year when this was recorded. I was.....n-n-n-nineteen.....another good year!

We Loved Them.....Back Then....., Nov 11 2012
Always have a fond memory of these two and their band. In the early 70's our crew listened to each album as they were released. The females in our gang just loved them. These remastered cuts offer a great overview of the early stuff that appeals to me the most. This is rated a buy....and I did! Never heard them? This is your starting line. The vocal harmonies are the charm here and the "twangy" guitar work is kinda cool......ATC
