I spent many hours in Chapters reviewing books on ADD/ADHD after my son was diagnosed trying to find a book that wasn't technical definitions or explicit descriptions of the hows and whys. I wanted meat, examples, stories, something that was in layman's terms so I could understand it fully and relate. I already knew 'what' it was and 'how' it worked. I needed to hear the trials and successes, something that brought the reality of ADD/ADHD into everyday life. This book does it. While not perfect and I found some parts of the book weren't relevant to me so I did skip a little, it has to be one of the best books to start off with when you're seeking information, confirmation, or even just some comfort that this can fit into your life successfully. I recommend it as part of the educational journey into understanding the disorder.
