fabulous dialogue, great cinematography...great actors..i was amazed at how flippantly ones life could be sussed out. i loved memento , but i loved this even better.. i want to see more from this guy!!

This CD is a great intro to this band...now I have to buy more of their's . Its not dark just to be dark as so much of this genre is.

it does have great Viola Cello and Violin music by The Paradise Quartet. I love the sound of the cello and was very impressed when Lou Reed used it in his "Street Hassle" album.
Since I have this on a cassette, I tend to only listen to the Paradise Quartet side, and not the Resurrection of Albert Ayler side. But just for that side it was a worthy buy for me. It's great music to read by...or just daydream.
I loved the movie, have seen it many times and it's a great background music for my quiet moods.

I loved the movie, the soundtrack,the whole package (whatever the wrapping paper was).It was all Great! But the Jimmy Sommerville song is so beautiful!! I went and bought some of his other stuff but it wasn"t the same..

I wished he would do a Cd with that type of singing!

I enjoyed this movie for the plot.I liked Kevin Spacey's performance, but the rest of the movie felt flat, undimensional. The story is great whether you are for or against capital punishment. Ever see a movie where you think "I'd rather read the 'book'"? Well this was one of those movies for me.
But the "endings" are worth watching the movie for. Very good surprises.

from warm sweet girl to ice queen. Cate Blanchette was superb.I really enjoyed everything about this movie, but Cate Blanchette absolutely deserves to be crowned for her excellent performance.She seamlessly carries you thru her evolution with heart and grace.

Very intense feelings, lyrics and vocals. It's the space I enjoy being in. If Wolfsheim is daytime, Diary of Dreams is nightime.

It's strange but when I first got Freak Perfume, I gave it a cursory listen and thought I didn't like them and almost sold my CD. But something made me take it out of the "to sell" pile...and now I love them!(I was surprized to hear that Adrian Hates worked on a Clan of Xymox album. I also love them)

Adrian has a very deep rich voice that soothes no matter what he is saying.

They really are ALLSTARS! Great lyrics laid on top of ever changing background. The pace changes effortlessy as from Lazer Sheep Dip funk to Will I get out of Jail? to Vision Incision.
Warming Up the Brain farm , How to Operate with a Blown Mind, I Used to Fall in Love, Nightime Story, all great.

I love The Stranglers and basically these are not thier greatest songs, altho this is the only one I was able to find "Always the Sun".
This album is missing Dead Los Angeles, Baroque Bordello, Ugly, Don't Bring Harry, The Man They Love to Hate, Nuclear Device, and more! They were such a great band and this is not their greatest. you dont get a taste of their great sense of humor as in the song Ugly.
You basically have to get The Raven, Rattus Norvegicus, La Folie, and Aural Sculptures to get the best of the Stranglers. This is a drag because altho I have all the cassetes including Black and White, the tape is starting to stretch, so now I have to get them on CD's.
