iM GOING TO GIVE THIS ALBUM FIVE STARS BUT IT REALLY ONLY DESERVES 4..I WAS REALLY INTO ANYTHING COLD CHILLIN BACK IN THE DAY SO I PICKED UP GRAND DADDY IU..SMOOTH ASSASSIN IS ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME ON COLD CHILLIN..GRAND DAYDDY RAPS LIKE THE ALBUM TITLE SAYS...SMOOTH ASSASSIN..THIS ALBUM CONTAINS SMOOTH BEATS AND SMOOTH BUT NOT SOFT RHYMES..I HAVENT HEARD THIS ALBUM IN 10 YEARS BUT REMEMBER IT LIKE I HEAR IT EVERY DAY..SOMETHING NEW IS THE BEST CUT..GET THIS GEM IF OYU CAN FIND IT OR ARE WILLING TO FORK OVER THE 40 BUCKS FOR IT..LIKE MOST OLD SCHOOL ALBUMS THERES ONE OR TWO CUTS YOU CAN DO WITHOUT..BUT OVERALL ITS A REAL EASY TO LISTEN TO COOL CD..

The DOC No One Can Do it Better is one of the best rap albums of all time..easily a top 10..All the songs and beats on the album are dope and the DOC rips the mic like no other. He was definitely a natural..The beats on this album are by Dre and they are some of his bests. the Formula is my favorite..
To me No One Can Do it Better is a better first album than any of the other deceased mc's..including ready to die..does that mean the DOC woulda been the greatest? Who knows but I think he wouldve shown he's better than Biggie or Pac..

Most of the reviews from here seem to be right on the mark but their giving him too much by giving him four stars. Im extremely skeptical of "underground" "talent" but I heard "I Need.." and I thought i might as well give this guy a chance. Please look at my other reviews to see the albums that i like and dislike to see if you like my tastes. This could be a 2 Star album very easily. I bought it last night, choosing it over the new Cormega and Master Killa after much thought. After hearing the Classic New Cormega album it is not even close. I think the beats aren't as uptempo and sick as I expected, they are more kinda simple and boring..But if it was just necro it would be alot better..i am definitely not feeling Ill Bill and Goretex and others..GET THE CORMEGA ALBUM..sorry Im listenting to it now for the first time and I can't believe how deadly it is..Im kinda sorry I bought this album without reading the reviews for it first..So all of you interested; save money and buy it used..its a waste of money for 17.00..

I have slept on these guys for years but not the rest of Boot Camp. I read some reviews here and decided to try the STORM..It defini9tely feels like its a dark stormy day in NY when I listen to this, the more I hear it the more I like it. Someone wrote that its the worst of the four Boot Camp albums at the time..Thats because Enta Da Stage and Da Shinin are 2 of the toip 20 Hip Hop Albums of all time. The Storm is better than Heltah Skeltahs Nocturnal. Ruck had minimal skills. Starang is the true shiner in OGC. I love how the album has a feel to it. Its an album that should be listened to straight through to get the whole effect. The beats are great, simple and grimy, how hip hop was intended to be. Starang Hurricane is the joint on this one.

The New Jadakiss album is unfortunately only average. Ive been seein it for awhile that Jadakiss is only better than Jae Hood and not Sheek or Styles. This album proves it to me. Jadakiss is very talented but whoever directed him on this album mislead him. I think he might be tryin to go Platinum to hard. He has a song with Mariah carey and one with DJ Quik. Jada's obviously tryin to be felt out in LA. The beats on this album are very soft and there is no feel at all to this album, unlike Styles and Sheeks albums. So far the worst D BLOCK albums are KISS THE GAME GOODBYE AND KISS OF DEATH. He can rap as good as any but sometimes his lyrics are redundant and boring. I think Jada's mind isnt as open as Styles and Sheeks especially Styles. The only decent songs are already old to me because the mix tapes and radios played them out. If you neve rheard them you will have at least a couple of songs to enjoy. The best one is with SP at the end of the album. Jada needs to keep his albums more dirty and he needs to open our minds like Styles did and get some feel to his album instead of a bunch of songs.

If you like WU or just Rae this album is the shi...I love it even more that noone seems to really like it except real heads..This is Real Hip Hop..Theres like one or two tracks that are just ok but the rest are bangers..I like it as much as CUBAN LINX..This stays steady in my cd player and Im extremely picky.. It still plays like the first time I heard it just about..WU BANGER..GET IT..DONT BELIVE THE NEGATIVITY BY THESE POPSTAR WISHING FANS who cant see real rap...CHECK MY OTHER REVIEWS FOR MORE CLASSICS

This is one of the few albums that I can remember the first time I heard it like it was this morning. im only writing this review because I saw that the average rank of this album is only 4. Then I read the negative reviews and came to only one simple conclusion, only young kids could not appreciate this album. Anyone who grew up during this era thats into hip hop will absolutely love it. Ice Cube is at his angriest best on this album. The newer Ice Cube (after Predator) is half rate material at best to me. Theres no flossy computerized syntesized beats on this one..Thats why its not liked by the younger generation.
THIS ALBUM IS ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE AND IF YOU CAN FIND IT HOLD ONTO IT..CLASSIC MATERIAL TO THE FULLEST..EVERY SINGLE TRACK AND SKIT ARE GREAT.

Rick at his worst is still a 4star album..He's the best rapper ever by far..Its not even close..It's not hard to spit hardcore raps..anyone can do that..All those hardcore artists arent creative enough to do anything else..Rick is a Real Artist..These other bums just spit garbage compared to Rick..
The Art of Storytelling is Rick's worst album by far..buy the other 3 if oyur a true head...In 1988 I heard Slick Rick and haven't stopped listening to rap since..He has too many guest appearnaces and skits on this one..When I buy a Rick record i only want to hear Rick..I could care less about everyone else unless its a classic duet..Skits are just obnoxious..Everyone else just rhymes words and says nothing..listen to Rick if you wanna know how real rap should sound..There must be over 500 rap "acts" that are absolutely garbage..Its nice to know that Rick is still around..Also this album was recorded up state NY in the country which I believe Rick regrets. Ive read statements from him saying how he wants to remain in the Bronx cuz he feel syou lose some creative edge when you leave the environment that inpired you...BUY THE FIRST 3..FORGET THIS ONE
