Personally, I think this borders on cruel. Bettas need at least 2 gallon to thrive. How would you like staying in a small room all your life with no room to stretch properly. I keep mine in a 5 gallon and a 3 gallon which are heated (they are tropical fish and need to be in water between 76 and 80). This is far too small for a betta. Yes it looks pretty, but that's about it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty but don't bother with it., Jan. 22 2012
Yes, a betta in a small bowl looks prtty on a table or counter but that's not the way they should be housed. It's a myth that bettas are supposed to live in small bowls. Yes they could srvive, but they won't thrive. This is much too small for a betta. Go for something that is at least 2.5 gallon and heated (they are tropical fish).

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the best, Jan. 22 2012
This review is from: Mini Round Deco Aquarium (Misc.)
Anyone who knows anything about bettas know that they need MUCH more space than that small tank. Bettas need at least 2.5 gallons and the tanks need to be heated between 76 to 80 degrees as they are tropical fish. This is simply a way to make money and I wouldn't bother buying it.
