This is such a fantastic book. I first borrowed it from the library to read to my son, then bought a copy to keep and three to give. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is clever. It is a very lyrical read. I highly recommend it.

My son was given this book for his first birthday, and it has been well loved ever since. On the first few reads, the text seemed awkward. But soon, with experience, it really sings! My husband have had lots of fun reading it as a country music song, a rock song, a pop song, etc. It's been almost a year now, and my son still asks for a second and third read each time. The illustrations are so cute.
