The times they are a changin', Jun 15 2012
This movie may have been a classic in its day, but I think it may be past its prime. I have only ever seen one other Woody Allen film, and maybe those who particularly enjoy his work will still love this, but I found the dialogue a bit dated and the style of Allen a bit choppy and uncoordinated. The characters were very believable, the problems were not exaggerated, but I didn't feel a connection or any empathy towards the characters and couldn't really relate to their problems. It actually reminds me a lot of "The Five Year Engagement" which just left theaters and I would advise anyone born in 1985 or later to check out that instead or perhaps a different Jason Segel movie. I have no doubt this movie was amazing for a long time, but in 2012 I only found it to be just OK.

Under appreciated movie, Jun 15 2012
I saw this movie on TV once and enjoyed it enough to look online and buy it. As I was doing so I checked out a few movie rating sites and was surprised at how poor the opinion of it is. This film was never going to get an Oscar nomination, but I thought it was still a solid movie. Joe Pesci plays a very lovable character, in my opinion, and Brendan Fraser also gives a good performance. It reminds me of a "poor man's 'Good Will Hunting'" and I believe is vastly under appreciated.

Classic film, Jun 15 2012
This is a great film and one of the best suspense/thriller movies I have ever seen. I only looked into it originally because I am a huge Walken fan, and his performance is amazing, but even for non-Walken fans this should be a very enjoyable experience. Great story from start to finish, great cast. There is nothing bad I can think of to say or critic about this film.

Great movie, Feb 6 2012
Walken is excellent and the collection of supporting characters all fill their roles well. An excellent story and "whodunit" feel gives the movie a dark flavour which Walken uses so well.

Excellent book, Feb 6 2012
I know many who have criticized this series of books for being simplistic, but I would disagree. While this book may not be quite as complicated as other fantasy novels the characters are given a level of authenticity and realism which makes them believable. Also, the system of magic used within this series is excellent and very well executed. The rest of the series is an accomplishment as well and, though teenagers can begin these books early, they are by no means simple and should entertain adults as well despite the critics and old-school thoughts regarding fantasy novels.

No better way to learn Latin, Feb 6 2012
This is an excellent Latin textbook. The only issues I have are that a few of the more minor case uses could be formally introduced later in the book, that Wheelock's daughters seem to have added unnecessary instances of wives/daughters/women in the practice sentences, and that there is no answer key for the "practice & review" or "sententiae antiquae" (ancient sentences). The last issue is likely necessary though, as it allows the teacher to assign sentences knowing students actually had to translate it themselves and there are still additional exercises in the back of the book for each chapter with answers included. The book takes an excellent approach to gradually introducing new material and subjects onto a solid foundation built up by previous chapters. The hardcover is also of extreme value. Most students will tear through their books within a year with the soft cover while mine has been used regularly (and sometimes extensively) for the last three years and only has minor wear. The hardcover will also protect it when a student inevitably stabs the book out of frustration, as has happened to us all.

Decent Movie, Feb 6 2012
I mainly purchased this movie because of my love for Walken. It is, however, a decent movie itself. It is nothing amazing and the ending does lack a bit of climax near the end, but overall a decent film with an interesting premise.

Great Book!!!, Oct 14 2010
This is one of the most thorough and detailed books I have ever read, on any topic. I am by no means an environmental enthusiast, but this book looks critically at our effect on the planet we inhabit and explains which human activities truly need to be altered, not for the planet's sake, but for our own. Weisman details human innovation through time and explains, without preaching or sounding like a propaganda machine, what legacy we will leave on this planet, and what will disappear with us. The important lesson to learn from this book is that whether the changes in our environment (ex:global warming) are real or not, or will outlast us or not, this is still the only ecosystem we have and we need to maintain it as best as we can for as long as we can.
