It's a different kind of a guide book from what Lonely Planet is noted for. Fine in it's own right,'genre', but in my case not quite what I wanted. ... Not a backpackers budget travel book. Heavy to pack around because of the glossy heavy weight paper, and too many pic's and not enough info. If you are curious, and thinking of buying, I would recommend trying to locate a copy and see for yourself.
Footprint travel guides are always very informative. Sometimes, as in the Malaysia and Singapore June 2010 edition, I find it to be somewhat confusing in places. All of the info. is there, however at times not where one would expect to find it. The street maps are definitely to small and difficult to read. The map symbols are much to hazy; could be a little more striking to the searching eye Extremely difficult to make much of these small maps when the light is not the greatest. But still excellent value for the money.
