More Folkish than their other records, but on purpose. Bonus DVD of them at home singing some of the tracks and some insight to the songs' origins. My favourite tracks are "the Mermaid"(with an hilarious ending), "Concerning Charlie Horse"(one of two songs about a horse falling through ice) and "Captain Kidd"(a remake of a great pirate song) plus 4 more. and that was enough to buy this CD.
The plot of this book was thouroughly engrossing. The trouble I had was with the language. Victorian writing can be tedious to read, I thought about having a dictionary beside me. Once you get used to the writing (or maybe it relaxes a bit) the story becomes very entertaining and interesting.
This doesn't remind me of any pirate films. This was a cool subject to cover. I think it's right up there with Lord of the Rings and Spider-man as far as adventure and that feeling when you take a deep breath and enjoy the scenary.
