THE must own Chan film!, July 17 2002
My friend Nhyung suggested this-and I've been a fan ever since.Yes,like Shatner-he plays himself in an X-Files type scenario-with every possible plot twist and turn one could ask for!Not too mention his comedic ability, with amnesia and every government agency after him.His use of props, fighting ability, and humor are truly showcased here.I can't recommend strongly enough-after this-buy "Legend of the Drunken Master" An overlooked action/comedy masterpiece.

Manipulation 101, July 17 2002
My skepticism was put aside on this one.I admit I saw "Not Another Teen Movie" first, and Amazon said I would like it.It's a great film with incredible dialogue, surprise ending, and well done acting. The plot is over 110 years old-but putting the 90's spin on it with these performers...I consider this "War of the Roses .5" Do not skip this for the teen demographic-this is a very good film.Anything more would be spoiling-BUY IT!

What are these people drinking?, July 17 2002
WHAT?Scary? Where? Canadian Buffy.Poorly and slowly done.If you're into the study of lycanthropy-it's okay as it puts some different light on the subject...but as far as entertaining? Scary? Not at all.I agree with one reviewer-seeing a 'real' as opposed to CGI wolf is refreshing, but HAIRLESS? If looking for a solid, excellent werewolf movie-I've yet to see anything top "American Werewolf in London." I only say this-unless you study the creatures-RENT first.

Insomnia Cure, May 2 2002
This ranks alongside "Not of this Earth" and "Hercules" starring Ferrigno as one of the WORST wastes of celluloid on the planet. No character development,STUPID comic relief, and 99% CGI.Basically-it's a Star Wars screensaver for your tv.I've tried 15 times to watch this disaster-and with a gallon of coffee and 5 liters of Mountain Dew-can't stay awake. Keep in mind,I saw the original trilogy over 100 times and adore it-this...was a toy commercial. Quoting Randall from animated 'Clerks'-"Get Lucas out of my sight!"

This millineums 'Airplane!', May 2 2002
I've read the gripes,I've read the praises. Not only is the movie fast paced and riddled with references, but the added features of the dvd make it worth retail price easily! Yes,the writers ripped off the plot-admittedly,'She's All That'-as did the Zuckers in Airplane! (airport disaster movies and culture). But if you're an 80's afficianado like myself just seeing a herd of newspaper boys running down people yelling "2 dollars!" is a classic in itself. Lastly,if the writers didn't skewer a movie directly-read the background signs-it takes repeated viewings to catch half of what they were doing. My last comparison to show this should be classic SOON is in the '70's people were shocked seeing Julie Haggerty inflate the auto-pilot...this has a contemporary comedy sensibilities-so if easily offended-you didn't see the movies they were satirizing anyway.I loved it!!

I tried...Really-to like this movie..., May 1 2002
I bought this dvd for 2 reasons.Monique Gabrielle and Jim Wynorski .If not for the audio commentary-it is completely unbearable.Luckily, the one actor who had character was the commentary co-host.After Death Stalker II,I know Mr. Wynorski is/was capable of much more. This was sad really.

TV screen saver, April 6 2002
Moon Lee is THE ONLY saving grace this film has.She does good acting, has good fighting skills-but against poor filming, and cardboard characters-it doesn't hold water. Despite the film dates, it seems like an early seventies film and not a good one. If you're looking for HK femme fatale fighting-Heroic Trio,Executioners,Wing Chun,or even Zero Woman (Japanese-but fits the genre). "I must avenge my brothers death"-hmmm,never heard that line before....

Mind Boggling!, April 6 2002
I truly enjoy this series-it's quick, well done (yes, being various authors there is good and bad,but the good outweighs the bad)and doesn't go into EVERY nuance that lead to divergent paths.I've read other alternate history short story books, but none as well done as this 4 book set.If you enjoy this idea-I can't recommend it enough-it really makes you think how the planet would be different if a decision or event went the other direction. For myself-I love it.Sorry, there are too many stories to delve into and dissect-if curious-BUY IT. Teaser-Genghis Khan leading the crusades. If that doesn't jump start the imagination-I don't know what will.

Beautiful is right!, Mar 31 2002
This was a great one!Action, determination, rapid fire pacing and of course,a beatiful heroine. The one love scene was a bit long-but that was my only complaint. If you enjoy 'hard boiled action' as the case advertises-this movie delivers!NOT A SPOILER-but where she sings near the end adds respect for the 'Black Orchid' So what are you waiting for-BUY IT!
