5.0 out of 5 stars Reading the Bible will change your life!, Jan 23 2012
This is the story of change in the man behind the Daily Audio Bible Podcast. Reading the Bible every year has changed his life...and mine!! I've been reading the Bible for many years now, but I stumbled upon the Daily Audio Bible during a year when I was struggling to continue my reading due to burnout. Having the Bible read to me through this podcast gave me insight into so many things that I had been reading intellectually and not necessarily with my heart. New thoughts and insight seemed to jump off the pages as I listened and read through Brian Hardin's DAB podcast. I decided to read Brian Hardin's book Passages because I wanted to know how he got started on this adventure with the DAB and how he has managed to persevere day in and day out over all these years. The book really encouraged me to continue on this wonderful adventure and to share my experience with others. If you can't see the reason to take 30 minutes every day to read the Bible, then you need to read this book! You'll never see life in the same way and you will be transformed ...its an adventure to listen to God's Word and gradually understand His will for each day. Faith is trusting that He will speak to you personally and guide you on your journey. Enjoy!

Interesting poetry. It's mother goose with a twist for adults. Like most of his films, this book has many unrealistic characters with realistic struggles which made me think a lot.

5.0 out of 5 stars the production team should get the credit, Dec 31 2004
This review is from: Hilary Duff:Hilary Duff (Audio CD)
Rock n roll music began with the birth of the teenager in the fifties. Music's target today is no more related to tennagers but it's target is divided into three age groups;adults who have experienced rockn roll as teens(25 to 55),the teens and all the college kids that determine what is cool or not (16 to 24) and finally the pre teens who eat up anything that is offerd to them (10 to 15). I believe that all the money in entertainment in the past 5 years has been maid with this age group. Finally I believe Hilary Duff is the biggest paradox this industry has ever expericenced all for the sake of pree teen girls. Every average person with a brain over 16 knows that Hilary Duff's singing carrer is pre fabricated and manifactured for 12 year olds. But who has dared to take a closer listen and figure out the paradox of the music. I picture myself five years ago listening to Mr James Dean on the radio I would of labeled it in my head as rock music definatly without a doubt. But times have changed and pop artists are siging rock songs so they are labled pop.But why? Do pre-teen girls actually favor rock?I don't know. The paradox here is that I am 18 and I have a brain and I actually enjoy this cd because it has nothing to do with being kiddish and poppy. This is what bothers me. This music should be considerd as all ages but it is immediatly put in the TWEEN category because of well who Hilary is and who she is is not much of a singner which shows how manifactured the whole idea is. This finally brings me to my point ok the only thing Hilary does on the cd is try to sing and a tiny bit of a contribution in the lyrics I think. So I would say 95% of the credits on this cd goes to the production teem that carrefully crafted 18 edgy really good song blending diffrent styles in the songwritting and music. So in the end the producers picture should of been on the cover and ''Hilary Duff - Vocals'' should of been written in tiny letters above each song. When put this way it is not particulary targeted at tweens and it becomes an excellent cd. And i can't wait for the matrix production team that will actualy do this for real when they release their own cd.
