5.0 out of 5 stars Great pocket/money clip knife, pleasantly surprised!, Nov. 11 2014
Excellent money clip knife, For under $5, this knife is a great value.

The knife is 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) closed, 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide and 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) fully opened. The knife is very sturdy, smooth to open, no blade play, locks very good and easy to disengage the liner lock.

The clip is large, its almost the full width of the knife and its very strong. If you use this knife to clip to the inside of your pocket or to hold your money it will be secure.

The only thing I would add is some checkered style gripping on the black handle, or use some G10, its seems a little slick to hold, it might add to the overall price, but it would make this knife flawless.

These by far are the best disposable gloves you will ever wear, very comfortable, extremely durable. I tried to rip a pair from the start when putting them on, couldn't do it. I have worn them over and over and over again, used the same pair about 8 times and these beauty's will not tear. Incredible product, worth ever penny. Will definitely purchase again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect!, July 23 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Just received the knife and I must say WOW! I was shocked to see and feel a quality knife. The manufacturer really took the time to make a great knife at such an affordable price. This is the key thing to remember is the price you're paying. When you feel and see it you will notice, its worth it. This is just my observation, I'm sure others will find something they don't like, but these are very minor things to improve which I list below.

I also noticed on the blade it says "First Production Run", this looks to be a first run design, hopefully the manufacturers will heed any constructive feedback and make this knife a close to perfect design. They did very good for the first production.

It looks like this knife hasn't got its recognition yet, perhaps its the appearance. Let me tell you, this one picture posted online DOES NOT do this knife justice. Once you have it in your hand, it will surprise you. The first thing I noticed is the weight, its 200 grams (7.05 oz's) It DOES NOT feel like a cheap quality knife.

This is a good sized knife, its perfect for EDC (Everyday carry). The handle measures 4.5" inches closed, blade is 3.5" inches, overall length 8" inches. Blade comes very sharp, it has a spear tip design with both thumb stud and finger flipper as detailed in picture. I noticed that the knife, nor the handle had any gimping, I don't mind that it doesn't, it gives the knife a clean look and the powder coating surprisingly offers some slight gripping.

The first thing to point out about the pocket clip is, its tip up carry. If you don't like tip up carry don't let this dissuade you from purchasing this knife, but for me its tough to find a good knife, at a good price, with tip up carry. Pocket clip sits deep, its solid, has some good tension to it, but not so tight that it damages your pants pockets.

*A suggestion to the manufacturer. Please provide the option for tip up, and tip down on ALL your knives, this will make all different types of customers happy, choice varies from person to person.*

The grey paint is more of a powder coating, a non-slip feel to it, the ergonomics of the knife are fantastic, no sharp edges, no really bad hot spots that I felt on my hand, very comfortable...they really polished up this knife very nicely. The finger grooves provide good grip, the liner lock is smooth to the touch (no ridges), and it locks up super tight. Another thing I noticed is the liner lock is slightly thicker than most knives, which is a good thing.

The assisted opening is amazing, its lightning fast! This by far is the fastest opener I've tried, I've even owned some brand name assisted knives and this is up there with the best of them. When closing the knife you can feel they put in a hefty spring because it gives some good tension, and the last bit to close is somewhat tight and gritty so the knife doesn't accidentally open...its a good feature, not sure if they did it intentionally, but closes up good.

The only thing that would have made this knife perfect is if they put in brass washers, other than that this knife is excellent!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good knife for the price, July 14 2014

Very good knife for the price, very robust, the weight lets you know its in your pocket. Also to be noted, the knife in the pic does not show it, but this knife also has a finger flipper so you have the option of thumb stud opening, or index finger flipping the knife open. The assisted opening is very good for the size of the blade, it would be nice if there was a way that the knife could open faster, but this is a big knife so there's alot of steel to move.

The blade is just shy of 4" inches and the handle is a bit over 5" inches with the glass breaker tip. At the thickest part of the knife its 4 mm thick. Blade is as pictured with serrated and straight edge.

This knife screams to be put through some harsh everyday tasks with its heft and large, thick blade, but I doubt it will stand the test of time with the cheap white plastic washers they used on the blade where the pin goes to attach the knife to the handle.

Other things to point out for the manufacturer would be to add the option to mount the clip to the other side for tip up carry.

My biggest surprise was the clip, it is of very poor quality, for a knife of this size and quality, a better quality clip should have been used. The grip on the knife handle seems very durable, but its smooth, no texture on it. On the plus side it has finger grooves and gimping is almost the full length of the knife. Last note to the manufacturer please use standard hex screws, I had a very difficult time looking for the right screw driver bit and when I used it, the screws stripped and rounded out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great knife, potential to be Excellent!, July 14 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Great knife for the price, its worth purchasing,

All these comments I mention below should not discourage anyone considering to purchase this knife, these are only suggestions to the manufacturer so they can improve this knife from Very Good to Excellent product.

My suggestions are that this knife should have the option to change pocket clip to the other end for tip up carry. Also if you're left handed there is no option to put the pocket clip on the other side. The grips are made of some smooth light weight plastic, at the very least there should be some texture to the finish so it has some grip to it. The plastic also does not feel of great quality, its good, but its not like G10. Not sure if this will be durable, only time will tell, but you get what you pay for.

The spine, and where the knife goes in has very sharp edges, there could have been some better finishing job to smooth/round out the overall finish of the knife. Its no big deal, I just took a small file and smoothed the edges out in a few minutes. This is just my option, others may not notice anything. These are minor details, but once you have the knife and play around with it you will start noticing certain things that can be improved. The last suggestion would be to use steel or brass washers where the knife and pin are attached to the handle, I noticed plastic white washers. Those should be changed when you get the knife for better performance over time.

Opens very fast, very smooth, like those expensive knives. Its very light for everyday carry. If the manufacturer fixes those small errors this knife would be an excellent 5 star buy, and I would definitely purchase again.

Kershaw Knives 1950ST Part Serrated Tremor Linerlock Knife with Textured Black G-10 Handles

5.0 out of 5 stars Tremendous value and quality!, Jan. 10 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This knife is fantastic! Its a large knife and fits great in the hand, the textured g-10 feels great and non-slip. Very fast speed safe opening design for such a large blade (3 3/4 inches, closed handle is 5 1/4 inches) and the finish one the blade itself has a nice bead blast or stone wash...its not a shiny finish. The blade is sturdy, no blade play and hefty, which looks to be able to handle everyday tasks including out in the field, camping, hiking, work...etc. The pocket clip is very good, there's no way this is falling out of your pocket. Can be positioned tip up or down. Worth every penny...get one you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars You'll run out of things to cut before you even get through one disc, Oct. 24 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These discs are awesome, i've cut nails, wood, thin steel plate and I'm still on the first disc. Those black cheaper discs you get with most dremel tools are thin wafers, these discs are thick and well constructed. Excellent product, will definitely purchase again.
