Fantastic, May 26 2012
Dawud Wharnsby is a fantastic poet/musician. This book brings into the Muslim culture, some much needed poems and songs for children. Songs of affirmation, hope, multiculturalism and acceptance. Great for Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

fabulous recipes, May 26 2012
I have the 17 Day Diet, The, and found the recipes to be a little...blah, but this book has some really great ones! Tandoori chicken, a chocolate ice cream in cycle one! Certainly more flavor and variety than the original book - and some great pictures too.

disappointing, May 1 2010
I thought this would be a better book. I certainly don't have troubles in my marriage that would cause us to be anywhere near divorce, which is who this book seems to be aimed at - those on the edge. I was looking for something to prevent the little squabbles and such that we have. "why do you leave the plate on the counter?" type of thing, not "why were you sleeping with your secretary?" If you are in a troubled marriage, perhaps this book will work for your -- but if, like me, you are just looking to improve what you've got, it's useless.

Love the message it sends!, May 1 2010
A book about a girl who wants to buy make up to be beautiful -- in the end, she realizes that she is perfect and beautiful without the use of makeup. LOVE THAT MESSAGE (which I don't think our children get enough of these days)

only buy it if you have to, May 1 2010
I had to buy this book for one of my college courses. It is pretty basic stuff, the same stuff you'd find anywhere else, but organized horribly. The reading is NOT interesting, and the helpful hints/tips she puts throughout the chapters are useless. The pictures are grainy, and are often found well before or after the information that it is supposed to be showing an example of.

Excellent primer for Canadian childcare workers, May 1 2010
I really enjoyed this book, which surprised me as I thought I "knew it all" when it came to child care in Canada. It's filled with thought-provoking information, step by step instruction, and has lists of resources for a provider to turn to for ideas/help.

Classic Munsch!, May 1 2010
as usual, Robert Munsch fills his books with wonder and humour. The story line is great, the illustrations are wonderful and the kids LOVE it!

clearly explained, and easy to use, May 1 2010
I had to take a communications course in college. This book is great at explaining all of the different ins and outs of the English language, as well as how to write effectively. I just find it sad though, that many of the topics covered in this book are the same thing that my 9 year old daughter is learning...and I have to take it in college! However, a good book filled with tons of info and easy to follow examples.

dry reading, May 1 2010
This book is great in that it's covering what I'm learning in my class - but it is DRY reading. I tell you, it's all I can do not to fall asleep. Truthfully, I'm only about 1/2 way through it, so maybe it will get better, but so far, I'm not finding it an easy book to get through. Sad - as the topic is a great one.
