Dr. Moore is a thoughtful and reflective practitioner whose clarity of thought and vast experience make this a valuable addition to any mediator's library. Those who have on hand earlier versions of the "Mediation Process" will find chapters with new material that reflect both the growth of the profession and of the scholarly literature and research which undergirds our fascinating work.

Hats off to a master, with the voice, passion and enthusiasm of a life-long learner, in love with his work!

This collection of songs played by two fine "bluesmen" offers artistry, verve and humour to the listener. The collection of tunes includes songs with both male and female perspectives sung with conviction and playfulness. I have long enjoyed Sue Foley but this is my first exposure to Peter Karp's music. I found this to be the most enjoyable Foley album in my collection. The production values are excellent and the two musicians really do a lovely job playing off of each other and adding a wry sensibility to the numbers here.

The music selections contained here are not all blues. Some are more traditional roots style music played in sometimes a bluesy and other times in a folk/accoustic style. If you are looking for straight ahead conventional electric blues this may not be your cuppa tea, but if you will enter into the spirit of exploration with the musicians it will be a rewarding experience and an album you will play again and again.

Essex County is artistic in both a literary and visual sense. A real throw back to earlier, but not simpler times.

This albumn will not disappoint, whether you are a fan of Gershwin or Wilson.
Wilson's voice is strong & playful here, Brian is obviously enjoying himself, and you will too.

The selections include Gershwin standards and a few less familiar tunes.

The music is infectious and you find yourself dropping whatever else you're doing, smiling & tapping your feet.

Great showcase for Wilson's gifts.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Yardstick to Measure By, May 13 2009
This review is from: Breaking the Girl (Paperback)
I found this to be perhaps the most satisfying erotica I had read for a long time. Kim Corum did a fine job with this book and I would happily purchase others by the same author, if i could find them.

Some of the other critics are correct that the sex in this book almost borders on abusive and if that isn't your bag then you ought to give it a pass. On the other hand there are no actual forceable rape scenes, whereas I thought many of the scenes in Shayla Black's Wicked Ties did not involve consensual sex at all, rather a domineering male who has a scared and fearful female at his mercy and abuses her both emotionally and physically. The fact that she "discovers" that she loves him is just shlock. At least Corum keeps her characters predictable.

If you like stories that are short and to the point, like "Master" you will find you can really enjoy this well written and imaginative collection. This book is one of those rare finds that you could say has the qualities of good literary fiction and just happens to have lots of sex in it as well!

5.0 out of 5 stars Contrasting Perspectives Wildly Effective, May 13 2009
This review is from: Master/Slave (Paperback)
One of the best values in any paper back erotic collection i have come across. Many different perspectives, and because the stories are short, the setups are short and there is a lot of hot sex! These stories make great bedtime reading to warm you up for your honey!

I have come to recognize that short story collections are generally a better bet than full novels, especially if you really want lots of description of 'the act". While a few of the stories left me cold, I would say that about 50% were excellent, 35% were four stars and only 15% were three or below. You won't get this much satisfaction from other books of this size.

I loved being able to flip from Master to Slave, when you get tired of one perspective read the other -- ingenious ! If you like some kink but do not want to be taken deep into a world with which you may be uncomfortable (as some feel about the 'Carrie Story' and 'Safe Word' this is a great place to start.

I also loved Kim Corum's Erotic collection, which was even better than Master!

4.0 out of 5 stars The hot scenes in this book will be etched on your memory, May 13 2009
This is one of the sexiest BDSM novels I have read. Some scenes are off the wall and crazy, but Carrie's reckless abandon and preparedness to endure so much for her appetite will make your heart beat fast and your blood run hot.

The b & w photograph on the cover is hot. While it means you want to take care where you read and leave it, whenever you glance down you will be motivated to pick it up and keep reading. I went through this in no time!

Weatherfield does a good job moving Carrie through a variety of scenes so you never get bored. The male characters she encounters are also strange bedfellows and keep the reader on edge about just what may happen next. The scenes at the pony shows and the "pass around" time at the trainers are very hot and the descriptions evoke strong images. Superior writing to most of what is around to read.

I also enjoyed "Safe Word" by the same author and Kim Corum's collection.

4.0 out of 5 stars Twisted and Snappy, May 13 2009
I enjoyed this read thoroughly. The idea of a dom mistress being drawn to a dom male and discovering her sub side is kind of neat. The psychological struggle that Rowan Cassidy experiences is well drawn and drives the action forward.

The set ups for the sex can be somewhat long, but it acts like good foreplay so that once the characters get into "it" you are primed as a reader. Good romance for those who like the relationship angle but not too cliched as with Shayla Black's Wicked Ties, or Surrender which is a bit lame on that score.

This one is worth the money. You won't find yourself rereading the juicy bits as you might with Carrie's Story or Safe Word, but you will read through it fairly quickly and recommend it to others

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Premise, Anticipated Outcome, May 13 2009
This review is from: Surrender (Paperback)
The premise of Surrender is kind of interesting. The narrator needs money to fight a custody battle and she contracts to give herself over to a group of men for 6 weeks. The men are fairly cardboard, except for two brothers who receive careful development. The sex is frequent and the descriptions while not long are gripping.

Not surprisingly the cold male figure, like in so many other novels is melted by the heroine but remains an enigma throughout but eventually begins to open up emotionally just as the lady opens up physically. Both discover themselves through each other.

I found the earlier portions of the book more stimulating because the action was more unpredictable and all of the players were involved. As the book moves on the tensions between the male doms begin to resolve and they all fall happily into infatuation with the female sub. Somehow their competitiveness just melts away without explanation. Another author that really does not know the male psyche but who tells us how she wishes we were. I guess that is what fantasy is about.

I would recommend this book, but if you are expecting something as hot as Carrie's Story or Safe Word or Topping from Below, you will be disappointed.
