5.0 out of 5 stars Best system of all time, March 29 2014
We have been playing RQ for at least 30 years now, and Basic Roleplaying is essentially the same rules. I have been looking for Runequest 2 or 3 for some time, as my books are getting worn and I want to introduce others to this great system. The newer versions of RQ (4 and up) are not as straightforward as the original RQ rules, and are poorly laid out.
Basic Roleplaying (4th ed) has the simpler rules that make it so playable, and also includes optional upgrades such as hit locations and strike ranks that added detail to RQ. In other words, it is equivalent to RQ3 including magic rules, with extras for superhero and horror campaigns included as well. The only thing missing for fantasy campaigns might be expanded magic rules, but those included will go a long way.
BTW, Superworld, which is now included in this book, is the best set of rules for comic book heroes!

2.0 out of 5 stars Hard-core Alice Cooper Fans only, Nov. 14 2012

This review is from: Pretties for You (Audio CD)
This is the first Alice Cooper album, recorded when they were a novelty group signed with Zappa. The first cut, "Titanic Overture" sets a macabre tone, and is probably the most memorable on the CD. "Reflected" was later re-written as "Elected".
Most of the songs are not terribly memorable; some consist of seemly random sounds, in the pattern of many psychedelic bands of the time.
(The artwork has been restored, compared to my vinyl one, pressed for Canadians, which had been censored for some odd reason.)

4.0 out of 5 stars Uses 2 AA's!, June 28 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
There are too few smaller cameras that use AA's nowadays. The SX130IS is just about alone in that category. It provides AUTO and Program, and many other shooting options, like the other cameras in the SX series. Images seem comparable to our SX10IS (which is a larger camera), but with a bit less grain at ISO 1600. The flash is not too powerful.
If you want a similar camera that can shoot RAW and has a larger sensor, you need to go up to the Canon S95. But the SX130IS is decently powerful for its price, with enough options to satisfy those of us who miss our SLR but are tired of carrying it. The price jumps around - from $200 to $250. AA's may not last as long as a proprietary battery, but are very convenient.

4.0 out of 5 stars It works (and looks kinda cool and creepy), Jan. 28 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Dr. Oz flogged this on one of his shows, and we ran around on Xmas eve trying to find one with no luck. Luckily, Amazon had one, and even better, we got to keep it instead of gifting it.
It works very well. You need to be careful to keep the little plastic hooks in the holes, but otherwise it is great for steaming veggies.
It looks like something from a Lovecraft story, especially when it sags on the counter between uses, which is another bonus.
