This is a dark comedic take on life in India. I enjoyed the book immensely. Having grown up near an Indian community and having visited India, I found the characters and setting to be realistic. With an influx of so many Indian-related fiction, I would put White Tiger at the top!
Again, I enjoyed using Fodor's review. I was able to find what we needed (and more) very quickly. It's an easy travel guide to navigate. Very useful and made the trip enjoyable.
This is a thorough and well structured travel guide. Items are easy to find and most hotels and restaurants are mentioned. I always turn to Fodor's first and they didn't disappoint me this time!
I normally prefer Fodor's Travel Guides but it wasn't available when I needed one and so I chose Frommer's. I was pleasantly surprised to find the information and recommendations useful and better than I expected, although I didn't like the personal slant in the guide. I found it too specific and did not didn't offer broader information and recommendations. Furthermore, I found that some well-known hotels and sights were not included in this review. I'm not sure of the reason but found the information in an older Fodor's Travel Guide. Having said all that, I would not hesitate to recommend this travel guide.
