good pop cd, July 15 2004
Although I give Hotel Paper and The Spirit Room the same amount of credit for being good pop albums, I think the only semi-original sounding song on the Hotel Ppaer album is "Are You Happy Now." I reccomend this cd for ppl who like pop-countty music...I think this cd is more reminisant of pop-country, rather than pop.

astounding!!!!, July 15 2004
I saw Joe Firstman at the Virgin College Mega Tour with Michelle Branch and Rooney... and initialy I'd gone to the concert to see Michelle, but when it was over I was completely impressed with Joe Firstman. His lyrical talent dosen't compare to any of the music on top 40 these days. Lyricaly I'd describe him as good as Kurt Cobain...even though the music and subject matter isn't the same. I reccomend this CD to anyone looking for an artist who actualy does write meaningful lyrics!

great pop cd, July 15 2004
The album lives up to its purpose - a "breath of fresh air in the midst of teen pop music"... so Michelle gets credit for writing good songs at the age of 14... I recently saw Michelle in concert and I could see why people in their college/high school years enjoy her music... it's very relatable to teens. If you're looking for a teen who, in my opinion, writes better lyrics... check out Vanessa Carlton, Katy Rose, or Shelby Starner.

I'm reccomending this cd for the first track, whereas the dance remix is dull.

If you like the radio-friendly pop songs of Chantal's...this is a good cd for you - "In This Life", 'Time", 'Julia", and "Mrs April" are good songs. Otherwise...if you don't care for the music on this cd, check out Chantal's other two albums.
